    DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION due to new mouse?

    Hello there!

I've been getting this BSOD lately quite a lot randomly during gaming and just browsing. The recent one is today which is very interesting. By using Bluescreenview app I saw a file named mouclass.sys and apparently I have a new mouse (Asus ROG Keris Wireless). Also when the recent BSOD happened, I was executing a macro using the mouse. I already reinstalled the driver and now I'm just waiting for it to happened again but so far no problem. Just need your advise if this happens again.

Below is the link for the minidumps and Windows version number :

    Hello

How long have you had this laptop and what is its history? What is the history of how Windows 10 was installed?

Hi! This is a Desktop PC.. I build this last November 2020 if I remember correctly.
I installed Windows using a bootable flash drive using Rufus.

Hi hristcroix, you need to update your My Computer section - it shows there that you have a laptop. I should have paid more attention to your logfiles - but to be honest I was bothered by the fact that your Windows Pro is not a normal version. If you built your PC presumably it did not come with a license for Windows Pro - have you subsequently paid for a license to use Windows or are you avoiding this step?

Hi and thanks for letting me know this. Maybe because the Windows account I'm using right now was originally from my laptop? How can I update this? Why also its not a "normal" version?
For the license I think it is link to my account.

You can update by clicking on My Computer at the bottom of your post and then editing your system details.

Your Windows Pro is not normal because you are using a Volume MAK license which is generally not for individuals to use - it is reserved for organisations and companies that purchase volume licenses for their employees. To use this method as an individual is an infringement of the copyright laws. I can also see that you are using a server to activate software every 7 days and this is another sign that something is not right. You have also modified installations of some of your software to avoid activation.

Unless you can provide a satisfactory explanation I have to assume that Forum rule #4 applies - "it is forum policy that no help shall be given to people who knowingly steal software or services."

I see. For the key I bought it online in a website called Gamivo. So if I understand it correctly, it's a "genuine" product key but should not be used for home PC?
About the software, not gonna lie I used a cracked versions Recuva, CCleaner and Photoshop. I used them for a few times for specific reason only and forgot to uninstall it after. I already uninstalled Recuva and Photoshop now, but for CCleaner it's a free version already. Other than those I don't know other software installed that is a "cracked" version. I don't know if this is a right time to ask but if I missed something let me know so I can also remove it now. Not expecting to help me now with my initial problem now but still thanks for the info!

The reason that we cannot work with illegal copies of windows, apart from the obvious one, is that the MAK (Multiple Access Key ) system will usually require to periodically connect to a Key Management Server, to refresh the licence. Some unscrupulous people take a key and sell it with a Fake Key management server built into software which makes the key work, unfortunately quite often the fake server can come with other "Added Gifts" such as keyloggers and Bots. These can introduce instabilities that can, and do, trigger Blue Screens and other issues.

It may be with a new legitimate install, (fresh onto a clean system to ensure that no malware is retained backup your data!!! ), that the issues on the system now will not occur.

Any issues that remain on a legitimate fresh install, should be fixable by the members here, and as long as the system passes the tests included in our software, I see no problem with helping you solve them

    Hi, hristcroix.

I saw your display card was NVIDIA and then if your driver version was 466.63.

I met this the same BSOD, too.

I saw NVIDIA community and then it seemed like NVIDIA display card driver 466.63 bug.

Please you could downgrade NVIDIA driver to 466.47 or under and tried again.
