BSOD with Unexpected Kernel Mode Trap + iaStorE.sys failed

BSOD with Unexpected Kernel Mode Trap + iaStorE.sys failed error.
I'v tried going through the repeated repair options menu so far but keep going in circles.
The Prepairing Automatic repair & Diagnosing your PC failed as well as Restart.

    Under Troubleshooting >Advanced options:-
    1. No restore points can be found 2.Startup Settings >repair only go back to preparing Automatic Repair etc.
    3. At some point CHKDSK appears to run - "Checking disk for errors" & then "Startup repair couldn't repair you PC"
Checking the report file "SptTrail.txt".. All the error codes were =0x0, BUT "Unspecified changes to System configuration might have caused the problem" appears and "Repair action - failed + " Error Code = 0x32"
"Repair action: System files integrity check and repair" - Failed, + "Error Code = 0xa"

I've tried SFC /SCANNOW but"could not perform the required operation"
All actions so far bring me back to a blue screen.
This PC was upgraded from Windows 7 so no Win 10 disk.
Using Media Creation on a different PC I've created a USB stick.

Any other options to try - before apparently losing all the Apps when :-"Reset this PC" via troubleshooting,
OR "Repairing the PC" via the USB stick???
    Help!!

My anxiety is losing important files & some Apps on a rebuild. It's the choice of least damage I need advice on.
Because windows will not load there is no access to downloading the V2 file or even transferring it from a USB, the file I've dowloaded onto USB from a Laptop. Command Prompt doesn't help at this stage.
I keep going around the blue screens in circles without progress . My hopes were dashed - see as above-when no restore points were found -typical to trust M/S.
Most things I try, bring me back to the iaStorE.sys failed error, and I've tried all the various options in the blue screen troubleshooting menus.
ONE exception > "Reset this PC" My reluctance is explained.
Reading some comments/advice in the forum I used the Media Creation file to make the bootable file on a USB stick.

SO :- do I "Reset this PC" -or- boot via a USB stick created via Media creation on a laptop ??? Or Something else.
Perhaps some Guru can soon give a definitive answer please.

My ear is getting chewed by my other half, since it's her PC, and it's getting sore !!

Sorry, I blipped right over the fact you couldn't boot to Win 10.

Install Macrium Reflect Free on another computer (yours?) then create a Macrium Rescue flash drive. Boot it on the failing system and backup the hard drive so you save everything on it.
You should be doing regular, scheduled backups with a program like Macrium as part of your normal maintenance on all your computers. You can't (never could) trust System Restore.

See if t here are any dumps under C:\WINDOWS\Minidump. If yes, zip them up and upload to a file sharing site like OneDrive or Google Drive then post a link to it here.
Also check for C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP. If there, copy it to another location then zip it and upload to the same file sharing site and post a link to it here as well.

If the dumps don't help identify the cause of the problem then rest is you best choice. Take the keep all file and apps path initially and see if that helps. Hold off on that until we see that the dumps, if they exist, show.

    Thanks, Ztruker
    Some advancement.
used Macrium on USB stick to back up the whole Desktop C: disc - (thank heavens) to a USB external disc

Looked at the files backed up :-
    There is no \memory.dump file
    Nothing in the \minidump folder

I thought? and tried Macrium's "Fix windows boot problems"
Now when I boot up the desktop I get the Blue screen , Headed "Recovery"
    "PC couldn't start properly"
    Error code 0xc0000001
with "Enter to try again" & "F8 for startup settings" F8 goes back to the Blue "Startup Settings" screen with F1-F9
if Enter is pressed -just goes back to blue screen iaStorE.sys failed error

---Interesting-- if I press F10 a black screen comes up -saying
Edit windows bootoptions for : Windows 10
    Path \windows\system32\windload.exe
    Partiton 1
    hard disc 28a15
    [ /NOEXECUTE = OPTIN# (# appears to be cursor here) ]
hitting enter here then reboots and back to blue screen iaStorE.sys failed error.

I dont have the "Reset this PC" (blue screen) option any more.
I still have the USB stick created via Media creation on a laptop.

    So- some progress I think.
What actions do you suggest next please?

I would restore the Macrium backup then use the Reset (bklue screen) option with Keep all files and apps. If that doesn't work then a Clean Install is probably your next option.

    Thanks, Ztruker,
I'm a little confused, -Restore all the disc (using Macrium) from the external USB disc back to the Desktop's HDD? -In the same place.I don't understand the logic of that, unless it will overwrite the error and bring it back to "Reset this PC" (blue screen) option.
Then I could "Reset this PC" (blue screen) using this option & keep files etc.
I can see that files would be kept, but what about all the apps/ programs.
Would these all have to be reinstalled after "reset" as above?
Another question Also-- would using the boot USB stick (created via Media creation on a laptop) ,still require the files+apps to all be re-installed?
I'm lucky never had to do a reinstall from external sources
Thanks, even if the answers seem so simple to you!

Yes, exactly. Restoring should take you back to where you get the "Reset this PC" (blue screen) option. All data and most apps (programs) should be okay after the reset.

If you boot from the USB flash drive then you can't reset. Your only options then are a Clean install or a Parallel install.

    Clean Install Windows 10

    Thanks, Ztruker,
Now original problem fixed after image reinstalled.
(Usefully a link was put on the desktop, which programs/apps were removed, and can Printout Now re-installing all the programs/apps.)

Now have a problem where I can't access "System" in - 'Settings'. The 'Accounts' >'Info' gives me 'Local Account - Administrator' but I can access all of the other selections within 'Settings'.
Is this related in any way?

Fortunately I have a separate folder with all my installed programs, in sub folders (Exe 's, licence number, etc), there- ready to reinstall. Time consuming but at least all the documents are saved.
    Now doing backups regime.
