BSOD while using Potplayer

I've already done a little research and ran my own tools to see what l could find out about my KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED the strange part for me is while this is the first BSOD I've experienced on this laptop l think I've had this exact same error on my last old one as well (though l cant be certain as l didn't bug check it though it happened while doing the same task) running the exact same program (Potplayer, l was shuffling videos that l had converted making sure they there wasn't corruption).

bluescreenview suggests the issue started with igdkmd64.sys which from what I see is a graphics acceleration driver so before making this post I have checked for updated drivers and from what I see I currently have the latest one available to my system the other highlighted item on bluescreenview was ntoskrnl.exe but I don't know much past that it is a OS file that deals with memory management.

suffice to say I'm guessing I have a bad video file somewhere thats potentially attributing to the issue, or at least thats my assumption based on the fact that these crashes have only happened while using Potplayer from what I have currently experienced, in all hopes it would be nice to resolve this issue or if Potplayer is the problem be recommended another lightweight software that can handle large playlists/shuffling (not really a fan of VLC).

Update Intel HD Graphics driver - Pliki do pobrania dla Intel(R) HD Graphics 5500

According to Intel I have the latest driver. well according to the Intel update tool it never listed any of the above linked.

so l have had time to look and it looks like those drivers are incompatible. this was the error l received while trying to install, looking at some of the information on the link l cant tell if its DCH or not as my driver doesnt follow the naming scheme and the 5/6th gen paragraphs are irrelevant as l have a i3-5005U CPU, strangely its listed in the supported area on the drivers but theres not much l can do if it refuses to install.

though l'll leave this here my laptop is a G50-80 Laptop (Lenovo) - Type 80E5 but it has been modified and has had replacements, namely the touchpad was replaced and the CD drive has been removed and in its place there is a SSD.

Try installing these drivers through Device Manager:
1. Launch the Device Manager and go to the "Graphics Cards" category
2. Right-click on the graphics card and select "Update driver"
3. Select "Browse my computer for drivers"
4. Select "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer"
5. Indicate the folder where you extracted the new drivers and select "Next"
6. Once the drivers are installed it would be a good idea to restart your computer after that

They didn't show up as installable.

Okay, on the fourth point, I got a bit of a stall, sorry. In this window, where there is an option "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer", immediately select the folder where you unpacked the drivers and select "Next", then the drivers should be installed

I did but when I direct it to the folder where I extract the files it doesn't locate any drivers and just takes me to page saying I have the best driver already.

sadly there are too many files to really test, l could wait weeks before l randomly hit said file again. as much as l want to find the offending file.

I couldnt see MadVR in the renderers, pretty sure l was looking in the right area.
