    Windows 10 just told me it found problems and needed a restart?

    Is there a history or something to show what they found was wrong and why it needed to be restarted.

    I was just browsing on Brave browser.

    You can look at the reliability History to get an overview of what has been happening.

    Type reliability into the search box next to the start menu and select the option "View Reliability History".

    For more information see: View Reliability History in Windows 10 | Tutorials (tenforums.com)

    OK, we can get this thread moved to the Blue screen of Death (BSOD) section and the bugcheck can be investigated.

    Please see here: BSOD - Posting Instructions - Windows 10 Forums (tenforums.com) and follow the details to get the logfiles which we will need to investigate.

    Well the blue screen may not have shown up or you may not have seen it but the fact that a bugcheck was recorded is all I needed to know. When you can please post the logfiles in your next post.

    There were two crash dumps recorded and in one of them there is a clear pointer to the memory being faulty:

    Code:
    *******************************************************************************
    *                                                                             *
    *                        Bugcheck Analysis                                    *
    *                                                                             *
    *******************************************************************************

    MEMORY_MANAGEMENT (1a)
        # Any other values for parameter 1 must be individually examined.
    Arguments:
    Arg1: 0000000000061941, The subtype of the bugcheck.
    Arg2: 00000204db486640
    Arg3: 000000000000000d
    Arg4: ffff8702fd1b8b00
    The subtype code 61941 means: The paging hierarchy is corrupt. Parameter 2 is a pointer to the virtual address which caused the fault.

    FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: 0x1a_61941_PAGE_TABLE_RESERVED_BITS_SET_IMAGE_hardware_ram

    In view of this I would return your laptop under warranty and ask for the system to be checked pointing out the above analysis. It is most likely faulty RAM.

    I just , for troubleshooting as i bought this laptop in Sydney Australia.. Warranty is not going to happen for some time.
    I went ahead and put some other memory, generic 8gb I had from my other laptop. Same speed etc..
    I ran the check again, will it show anything as fixed, as far as memory?

    If you were wanting to conduct further investigations of your own we can help you do that. The memory can be checked with a program called Memtest86 which you download onto a bootable USB drive and run the test for a series of 8 passes (on the free version you need to run it twice as only 4 passes are possible at a time). This test can take some time.

    Swapping or removing a memory module is also possible but you then need to have a reliable way of reproducing the crash and I am not sure you have that.
