Your errors looked more like bad power delivery on that AsRock motherboard.
Could be - what leads you to think it was a power delivery issue?

I haven't tested the PSU directly, although I am using the same one again with the MSI board.

On the faulty motherboard, could be bad MOSFET(s) or VRM IC. Also could be bad caps out-of-the-box. Also, possibly a missing cap. That may have been caused by damage while transported.

Whatever the cause of my previous issues, the new mobo seems to have solved it, so let's consider it solved!

Thanks again to all who helped along the way.

A recent observation I made after stumbling upon this post, the problem seems to go away after downgrading the bios to v18 (7B85v18 from 2019) for my board (MSI B450 Carbon AC). Althought it introduces an other problem that was solved with more recent bios updates, where my pc won't boot half the times and stay stuck at the CPU check until I hard reboot. I was wondering if that indicates that the problem could be software related?
