Windows 10 hangs after long time idling.

    Hi my pc:
    108500K stock 4800mhz
    2x16 GB DDR4 GSKILL 3000mhz XMP
    Seasonic Tx-850 Ultra Titanium
    Gigabyte Rtx 3090 Gaming OC
    Aorus Z490 Pro Gaming
    1 TB SSD

I have updated Windows 10 to H20,the newest version. I installed windows 10 month ago with new pc. So far so good, games not crashing all stable.

My pc is on 24 hours. Today was idle 5-6hours in desktop. After few hours when i go to use pc, i run Google chrome and then all suddenly freezed. I mean i was able to touch/move mouse, but all stops resonding. Chrome, search bar, start button stops responding. Then i make ctrl alt delete and black screen with blue circle. So i make hard reset.
It happened first time that hang of system.
Is there somewhere my pc not stable or its a windows thing? Like i said pc was idle 5-6 hours when i go to use pc, i turned on google chrome and then all suddenly hangs. I checked EVENT VIEWER: Nothing,0 entries about any errors.
    Thx.

    ah ps
NZXT cam was on background and epic launcher + steam.

PS:Running currently Karhu Ram test no errors.

    It was hardware issue?

    Freezing typically leaves no logs.

Many possible causes- you name it, it could happen.
PSU, RAM, disk, timing issues, dodgy hardware, overheating (any evidence?), overclocking (are you?), software bug, mismatched RAM (is all correct and consistent?)....

Best basic approach- process of elimination and wait 'long enough' to try to prove what's not the cause. However, as you've experienced one freeze in a long time, this becomes impossible in practice.

    I have updated Windows 10 to H20,
If you experience such a freeze again, try rolling back to (2004?) and staying there for 'long enough' to see if there's another freeze.

You can roll back within 10 days after upgrading, extendable to 60 days (see tutorial).

As you have Pro, you can set updates to Notify in Group policy when you return to 2004 to stay there, as no update will be applied without permission until possibly end of life for that build.

    Otherwise:
You could try running your PC from a live boot disk and running tests - that way you are independent of installed software and the internal disk.

Its stable on heavy load. Also my ram is on XMP ( 3200mhz ) and never crash in games and not freezing.

Happens once in Windows 10 after long time on idle, when i run chrome , all started slowly hanging. And i make ctrl alt delete and then all hangs ,caps lock stops working.

I dont overclocking anything. Please read more carefully.

    ps:
I dont have any bsods + pc is stable on heavy load. And yeah i have dogdy hardware when pc passing all stress tests for 24 hours? LOL

    Hello xxx123 ,

Please remove the XMP from the memory settings and see if the hangs still occur. Your Intel processor is only guaranteed to work reliably if the memory speed is 2933MHz or less. From my experience these hangs do happen more often when the system is idling because it relates to the power saving modes that modern processors are set up to use when the system is idling.

Also remember that we like to see the logs from the BSOD Posting Instructions.

This is not a BSOD problem and really should not be posted here but since ya'll are already working it that's a moot point now.

I don't think there is any need to worry if you have not received any further BSODs.
