Return of the BSOD...

Hello

I am having terrible problems with my PC, many BSOD back-to-back.

I posted here a few months back: BSOD Crashes - Help! ntkrnlmp.exe

This helped for a while and BSOD frequency went down, but the issues have returned....

New V2 this morning: Microsoft OneDrive - Access files anywhere. Create docs with free Office Online.

Can someone please help? .

If it is CPU, I will buy another.

For most, if not all, of those crashes you had Driver Verifier turned on. How long have you been running with this ON?

This will stress your system as it tests various drivers depending on how you set it up. It should not be run for more than 48h.

I would suggest you turn it off and see how your system runs for 24h or until you get new BSODs and then post up a new set of logfiles.

I turned on Driver Verifier and it caused BSOD - I thought I had turned it off before the most recent V2. I have just used the /reset command on CMD.

I had no idea it was still running... That's why BSOD stopped this afternoon.

The BSOD were happening frequently before I turned on Driver Verifier (this is what prompted me to turn it on, to try and self-diagnose) - I simply do not understand the dump files in WinDbg and so I cannot do this myself :/.

I will post new log when next BSOD.

I had another crash - not BSOD but system froze and I had to hard-power cycle.

Further VS after computer crashed.

Quite often when playing Escape from Tarkov the game crashes to Desktop - I think whatever is causing PC issues is causing this too...

This looks like an unknown hardware problem. Have you had any problems with high temperatures on your system. What is the running temperature of the CPU when playing games?

You could try running a CPU test but make sure you monitor the temperatures using HWMonitor or something similar.

Never any temperature issues, it's a very well ventilated system

When I run Prime95, Worker6 fails:



This is fixed if I increase my VCORE to 1.1v - all workers carry on fine.

I have run Intel's Diagnostic on the CPU and it passes.

I have run ADATA's SSD Tool & Sentinel on SSD and that passes.

I stress test GPU and that holds up fine.

I have run 8 passes on MemTest and RAM has no issues.

PSU is brand new

It must be CPU... It's so frustrating that it doesn't fail tests...

Have you altered the BIOS CPU parameters? I would have these all set as default or Auto.

I only changed the Core Voltage to 1.1 which fixed Prime95 issue. I still had BSOD though so this didn't fix issue.

Everything is now default, no XMP and no changes to voltage etc. I have never over-clocked the system (wouldn't know where to start) outside of turning on XMP and changing the VCORE to 1.1 (it was on 0.96 when running in Auto)

I still have BSOD 'Machine_Check_Exception' being the most common.

With the fault that you encountered in Prime95 I would suspect that your CPU needs replacing. Are you able to do this under warranty?

I have approached the people that built the PC and it is due to be collected.

I will push that they replace the CPU

Hey guys

I have noticed that my PC crashes 75% of the time when I try and play Escape from Tarkov.

Is it normal for my CPU to be running at c4.3GHz when its base speed is 3.7GHz?

My CPU never drops below 4.3GHz, even straight after boot-up / when browsing.... See the below picture I took on my phone following a freeze 3 minutes after loading up Escape from Tarkov....
