If the OP has another computer, download my customized Windows PE: BOOTPE.iso (598.8 MB)
Hi
I boot to Windows RE then goto the command prompt and type: bcdedit /set {default} recoveryenabled No, I reboot but it goes to automatic repair without showing any messages.
In Windows RE see if any of these files are available:
srttrail.txt
%systemroot%\Minidump
%systemroot%\memory.dmp
%systemroot%\LiveKernelReports
%windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log
C:\WINDOWS\Logs\CBS\CBS.log
C:\Windows\memory.dmp
C:\Windows\Minidump
C:\Windows\LiveKernelReports
I removed the HDD and put it on my desktop and it works fine, I can see my docs.
Back up your docs. Check whether the HDD is okay. If okay, put it back onto your laptop and clean install Windows 10.
HD Tune (free for personal use): https://www.hdtune.com/files/hdtune_255.exe
Sorry it took a while, I've been busy.
Tried HD Tune and there are 100% damaged blocks even though I connect it to my desktop and I can see all my docs.
Are there any good noddy guides out there on how to stick windows etc onto a new HDD??
