The drive tests look fine.
At sometime the temperature was modestly elevated on st2000.

Great, thank you Zbook, really appreciate your help. I'll mark this one solved in a few days after a bit more testing.
I would never have guessed a not-insignificant but also not ridiculous amount of dust could cause such an issue as this.

Just goes to show!

Nothing (yet) since I've dusted the it, no. I've tested it under fairly heavy load (CP2077 + chrome with about 20 odd windows) and it's been stable.

It behaved for a few days without issue before, but never under that level of stress.

So I did look to this when the computer was freezing and restarting but it didn't actually tell me anything other than 'windows was not properly shut down'.

That being said, I've just taken another look at it out of interest, and apparently something is still going wrong. According to the logs, I had hardware errors last night and the night before... (without realising it).

I know exactly what I was doing at both these moments - watching full screen Netflix, on Microsoft Edge. The PC did stop responding for a moment but it would then it would function normally - I assumed it was just buffering.
