From what I have understood you are now looking at your faulty Windows disk from a newly installed Windows on another disk.

If that is correct, please post a screenshot of Windows Disk Management. Also post a screenshot of MiniTool Partition Wizard Free. ( Please remove any or all USB plugged in storage drives to avoid clutter)

One thing I have just realised that may be of importance is that yesterday while trouble shooting I remember for what ever reason my c drive (the one with windows on it) was showing up as the e drive. And at the moment my e drive seems to be completely un usable from what I can see when I boot into windows using the rescue media.

Also using AgentRansack I scanned the folder that my Java files were kept and it found the LAUNCH files but not the CLASS files. If they were not found by this program is it likely they are gone?

    Hi,

I have attached the image of windows Disk Management (Apologies for leaving a USB in, I had to as it is running the rescue media I am using).

Also I ran DiskParInfo, here is the results:
    Code:
The script has found the above storage device(s) in total.

Your old Windows partition is showing as RAW format. @jumanji can help you try to recovery that. It's unusual that that disk 1 only has one partition on it if it was previously your boot disk. I would wait for @jumanji. Anything that you write to that disk 1 will lessen your chances of being able to recover anything from it. At this point you should very seriously consider restoring your data files from your backup onto disk 0 or disk 2 to keep working on them in the meantime.

Sometimes files can be viewed and recovered using a different operating system.

Yeah so my new version on windows that I created (which I can no longer access) was on the E drive but my actual version of windows that I was using before the BSOD occurred was on my C drive. But yesterday for what ever reason while I was troubleshooting using the command line in the windows troubleshoot options my C drive was appearing as my E drive.

I have tried this using a rescue version of Windows and the files I am looking for are gone but most of my other ones still appear to be there. It is very confusing.

The Windows installation that you boot into will normally get assigned to C: drive. Then other partitions will get assigned different drive letters. So it is perfectly normal that the new Windows installation will be C: drive when you boot into it and your old Windows partition will get assigned a drive letter higher up, such as E: drive. If you were able to boot into your old Windows installation, than it would again be C: drive, and your new Windows partition would get a higher up drive letter.

What info is that going to provide that is not in Post #14? The partition that has @finlay113's old Windows installation has gone RAW.
