    Intermittent BSOD crashes

I have experienced 3 BSOD crashes in the last week. All three occurred while I was on Google Meet and utilizing a Logitech c920 webcam (I'm a teacher and all the crashes occurred while I was teaching over Google Meet). I'd prefer that not happen anymore while I'm teaching so decided to try and prevent in more crashes.

I hope I've followed the instructions correctly. Below is the link to the log files. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just a little bump. Haven't had any more BSOD crashes this week, which is nice, but would still like to find out what caused them in the first place.

I could not find a definitive cause for all your crashes. The most recent was indeed due to a USB port and so it may have been to do with the webcam and the driver being used. See if there are any driver updates for the camera.

I noticed your BIOS for the motherboard is several versions behind the latest v1.8. This is still an old BIOS however, and due to the age of the system you may find that it is gradually becoming less compatible with the latest W10 OS.

Thanks for checking that out. I'll update the bios, and check for updates for the rest of my USB devices.

I am using an old HP laserjet 1012 (still works great). Unfortunately there isn't a driver for it, so I use the 1015 driver which works, but occasionally spits out "unsupported personality" print which requires a restart on the printer. I doubt that is the source of the BSOD (I've used this printer from XP, through win7, to win10), but there's not much I can do about it.

    Thanks again!

I found this. Maybe give it a try, though the 1012 does not have PCL5 support as far as I can see.

HP Laserjet 1012 and Windows 10 HP Laserjet 1010 and Laserjet 1012 series printers are not supported in Windows 10.
However, the HP Laserjet 3055 PCL5 driver does seem to work.
Plug in the printer to the computer, and turn on the printer.
In the legacy Control Panel (not the new one!), go to View Devices and Printers.
Hit the Add a Printer button, then select The printer I want isn’t listed.
At the Find a printer by other options screen, select Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings.
At the Choose a printer port, select Use an existing port, and select the DOT4_001 port if found. We have also found the USB001 virtual port works.
At the Install the printer driver screen, select HP as manufacturer, then select Windows Update, so Windows gets ALL of the drivers. Please wait until the selections come back again— it could take a few minutes.
When the driver list appears again, select HP as manufacturer, then pick HP Laserjet 3055 PCL5 (Microsoft or HP, doesn’t matter?), and it should work.
