blue screen of death windows 10

this is going to be sort of long an you are all going to think i am an idiot. I had my nephew work on my computer because of the blue screen of death he worked on it got it all set up with an email password and pin . He also hd put some icons on the desktop . created the windows old folder with owner account. with everything in it. Well being th ocd that i am and impatient . i no sooner had it up and did not want t0 log into to a password and pin. So being the stubborn person i am i created a local user account but mot likely did it wrong . Because all of a sudden all the icons he had put on the desktop disappeared and the user owner was gone from windows old. I have lost 8000 plus photos there another stupid thing I did. I could not get back to the pawword email and pin he had put in so now all in the windows old owner data are gone. is there a way to get that back to get back to the original email pin and password he set up ? and are all my things in there gone and un retrievable? will reinstalling windows again get that back or is it lost into the heavens . Is all the data still stored on the hard drive. or can we get back to is original set up again. I am on a windows 7 computer and have all that on here now. I had back up the data from windows 10 before it got corrupt and the blue screen appeared. But when i went to put it in the pictures and documents all were gone Just blank folders. Please help if you can .

If you guys did not delete a user, then all the users files are still there.
If you did a reset of the PC and told it to loose all the user files and folders, then they are gone.

if you get into file manager as an admin, you should be able to open the user folder, see the various users, and view all the files in the folder, like pictures and stuff.

goto local disk c: select users and see what users are in there.

There must be some king of user in the user folder, just not the user name you need right?

Was it actually named Windows.old? If so that is the name Microsoft uses to hold previous installation data when an upgrade is done and it's automatically deleted after 10 days. That sounds like what happened to you.

What do you see under C:\Users?

See I did something dumb my nephew had sett it up with my email a password and a pin to sign in well i did that and yes it started to get all my desktop and apps back but i did not want to sign in with a password and a pin so i changed it to a local account ot a Microsoft account. It wa doing some updates and then something popped up that said something like do you want to remove the micro soft account o something close to that and I clicked yes not knowing wht i had just done well everything on the desktop went to just white boxes and i then lost the c/user owner file i windows old

Looks like you've taken every opportunity to shoot yourself in the foot you could find

I think the data is gone for good. Your best bet is to start over with a Clean Install. If you do have any data you don't want to lose, back it up first.

Follow this tutorial: Clean Install Windows 10

If you want to use a local account and not a Microsoft Account then disconnect from the internet before starting the install and don't reconnect until the install is done.
The connect the internet, do a couple Windows Updates and you should be all set.

You'll be starting from scratch and will have to install your programs.
