    ntoskrnl.exe, Page_Fault_in_Nonpaged_Area, System_Service_Exception.

Hi all, I have been getting BSOD's randomly while playing games. I have clean installed windows on the 21st of this month and I have had two BSOD's since so the other ones in the log files are the ones I saved to a USB before the fresh install.

Mem tests have had a few passes all with no errors.
Currently running test on my HDD with the games on it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Code:
    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50)
Invalid system memory was referenced. This cannot be protected by try-except.
Typically the address is just plain bad or it is pointing at freed memory.

    Code:
    KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (1e)
This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
    Arguments:
Arg1: ffffffffc000001d, The exception code that was not handled
Arg2: fffff80689c958a5, The address that the exception occurred at

You have 16GB of memory. You manual says:

    Attachment 308015

Since two of the dumps are memory related you need to test your RAM.
    ===================================================
Up through DDR3, follow this tutorial: MemTest86+ - Test RAM - Windows 10 Forums
DDR4, follow this tutorial: MemTest86 v8.1 Free Memory Testing Tool Review

Both of these are diagnostic tools designed to test Random Access Memory (RAM) for faults. They will verify that:
    • RAM will accept and keep random patterns of data sent to it
    • There are no errors when different parts of memory try to interact
    • There are no conflicts between memory addresses

They run from bootable media to isolate the RAM from the system, no other components are taken into account during the test.

    warning   Warning
MemTest86+ and Memtest86 need to run for at least 8 passes to be anywhere near conclusive, anything less will not give a complete analysis of the RAM. The new version of Memtest86 only allows 4 passes for the free version so run it twice, back to back.

If you are asked to run MemTest86+ or Memtest86 by a Ten Forums member make sure you run the full 8 (or 4+4) passes for conclusive results. If you run less than 8 passes you will be asked to run it again.

    Note   Note
Both of these diagnostics has been known to discover errors in RAM in later passes than the eighth pass. This is for information only; if you feel there is a definite problem with the RAM and 8 passes have shown no errors feel free to continue for longer.

Running 8 passes of MemTest86+ or 4+4 passes of Memtest86 is a long and drawn out exercise and the more RAM you have the longer it will take. It's recommended to run it overnight, starting just before you go to bed and leave it overnight.

Take a picture when done and post in the forum please.

One of the dumps indicated a problem with the Nvidia driver so uninstall and reinstall as follows:

Remove and install latest Nvidia drivers:

Get the latest driver for your Nvidia card here: NVIDIA Driver Downloads
Completely uninstall the current Nvidia display drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) from WagnardMobile here: Official Download Here. Do this in Safe Mode.

Then do a custom install of only the Nvidia Graphics and PhysX driver.

See if that gets rid of the problem.

Let's see where that leaves things.

Hi Ztruker thanks for the reply I will run the memory testing over two nights. The Nvidia drivers should be alright as I haven't had anything related to them in the last two BSOD's, before the fresh install I did use DDU and it seemed to fix that but I kept getting the other so I did a fresh install and now only have got the memory one two times as you can see. I was running my ram at the speed of 3000Mhz but these pair are spec'd to do that, I have from last night reverted them back to 2133Mhz. But ever since I updated to the latest Bios (I was on a 2018 bios) I BSOD when trying to run the XMP profile (BSOD when trying to load into windows) yet it was working fine before updating. Many Thanks and I will post results of memtest in the next few days.

Suggest removing and reinserting the memory modules. That sometimes resolves memory problems due to a poor or intermittent contact.

Here's the second one no errors. I have removed and reinserted the sticks. I am still running them at a slow speed and haven't had a single problem. Do you think it's something to do with a windows update that makes me clocking them to the spec'd speed makes me BSOD?

I don't think an update has any effect on memory clock speed tolerance.
Check the PSU voltages. The manual is not very good in this area but I know XMP is affected by various voltage settings.

I think I may have found the issue the voltage was auto set at 1.20v instead of 1.35v. Would that cause the issues I'm having?

    Thanks again for the help.

Run HWMONITOR and post a screen shot so I can see what you are describing.

Any voltage that is off can definitely cause many problems, including memory. If you can run for a week with no problems then I'd say you have a fix.
