I have been having the strangest BSODs, specifically when gaming.

Windows version: 2004 (OS Build 19041.508)
Whenever I game, I have about a 30% chance to crash. The crash isn't consistent, but it happens. I have asked microsoft for assistance but they were unable to detect the error. I have done numerous memtests and they all came back perfect. I have tested my SSD using S.M.A.R.T. multiple times and there was no issue. I checked my temps and they were perfect. I tested my GPU using benchmarks and sure enough, results came back perfect.

At this point I'm at a complete loss with what in the world is going on with my pc.

The errors I would consistently get:
    • irql_not_less_or_equal
    • memory_management
    • page_fault_in_nonpaged_area
    • most recently: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

Here is the log thing they asked me to do before posting this: DESKTOP-5ER5GER-(2020-10-15_00-44-48).zip - Google Drive

I have the same problem, the exact same kind of blue screens, and they seems to be triggered by specific situations(at least some of them from what I know). What i found out is that IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL occurs when opening browser with lot of new tabs, or when playing CPU and RAM intensive games(Resident Evil 3 Remake just for the example). In case a program that you opened crash for no reason, don't open it again, it triggers a blue screen. After lot of research, I came into conclusion that the problem is Windows 10. It is a bug of one of the new updates, i don't tho why the bluescreens are so random.

So what you're telling me is, it's not my fault, and windows is just being really unstable with this release?

Indeed, there's lot of mess, and since the last update of october 14(Dev Channel), it got worse, the bug seems to be much more "aggressive". Also, I have seen more and more people reporting on the internet about random blue screens since the last update, most of them seems to be from the same issue that you and me have right now

    The 10/14 11:38PM dump indicates a problem with nvlddmkm.sys.
    Code:
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for nvlddmkm.sys
This belongs to your NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB driver version 456.71 dated 9/29/2020 8:00:00 PM which is the most recent driver for you card.

Remove and install latest Nvidia drivers:

Get the latest driver for your Nvidia card here: NVIDIA Driver Downloads
Completely uninstall the current Nvidia display drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) from WagnardMobile here: Official Download Here. Do this in Safe Mode.

Then do a custom install of only the Nvidia Graphics and PhysX driver.

See if that gets rid of the problem.

Also, is your RAM in the right slots for Dual Channel use with two modules?

Inserting RAM in the wrong slots won't cause any problems. Tho it does cause a huge decrease in performance of RAM, this is because your RAM won't work together on the same channel. There is no such thing as "wrong slot" when it comes to RAM. Correct me if I am wrong.

As far as I know you are right. It just has an impact on dual channel performance.
