If not, have them create an account on Tenforums then they can run the scripts.

    @z3r010 , @Matthew Wai ,

Please indicate if LOGS PS1 can be used for troubleshooting.
If any part needs modification please indicate.
    Thx.
You should have written the above post in this thread.
You should have posted a link to LOGS.bat】, so that the administrator could download it.
You should have clicked on "Edit Post" --> "Save Changes" without making any changes, so that the text "
@Matthew Wai", intended to be a notification, would work.

If the latest version of LOGS PS1 is available to run then this is a thread where it may be able to be used for troubleshooting:

I need help repairing Windows server 2012 r2 from the installation disk. | Page 2 | Windows Questions

The OP is using server 2012.

The OP reported problems running V2.

Wondering if V2 can run on server 2012?

Any update available for the script to collect event viewer text reports: system and application

Do you want the latest LOGS PS1 uploaded to replace what is there now? I can do that if that is what you want/need.

The script for LOGS PS1 needed updating so that it did not collect any personal information.
Matthew Wai modified the script and it's pending approval.
Earlier in the thread z3r010 was looking for the latest version (see post # 833)

    It currently displays:

    Step One
    Download the Batch file

Download the LOGS.bat file to your Desktop or Downloads folder.

    Download Attachment 298506 CURRENTLY REMOVED

You have to specify the the source and event ID. For example, the following PowerShell command will find all "System Restore" events whose IDs are 8194.

EventLog -LogName "Application" -Source "System Restore" -InstanceId 8194

Only someone using Server 2012 knows if it can.

You cannot do that without the approval of the administrator who has removed the original version of LOGS.bat.

The V2 log collector collects event logs that are system and application.

If possible, please create a script that collects the same 2 text files for the event viewer.

Please indicate if you need the latest version or another version of LOGS PS1 so that it can be tested / modified to run to collect logs / files.

The following two lines will write the logs into "Event_logs.txt" on your desktop.

    Code:
    EventLog -LogName "System" >>"$Env:homeDrive$Env:homePath\Desktop\Event_logs.txt"
    EventLog -LogName "Application" >>"$Env:homeDrive$Env:homePath\Desktop\Event_logs.txt"
