Please indicate the collection time period, maximum size of each file, etc.

    What options are there with
    a) collecting 30 day dumps if they exist and collecting 90 day if there were none during the 30 day period?

    For example:

Creation date and time Size (MB) File path
    ---------------------- --------- -----------------------------
    2021-01-26 12:38:30 PM 2152.09 C:\WINDOWS\LiveKernelReports\NDIS-20210126-1238.dmp
    2021-02-12 9:32:34 AM 0.25 C:\WINDOWS\LiveKernelReports\USBHUB3\USBHUB3-20210212-0932.dmp

@zbook, Ztruker is not responding to us. Should we ask z3r010 to upload the following scripts?
I've been enjoying the wonders of bingeing on TV reruns (Good Witch, Aurora Teagarden Mysteries and a few otheers, sorry.) I'll try to get interested in what's gong on here again.

I'll upload the two batch files today.

Edit: Both batch files uploaded and active in the BSOD repository.

Do you think the following needs to be corrected?

Also, the current version of DiskParInfo.bat does not work if PowerShell does not work. The problem has been fixed in the new version, which has not been uploaded.
    New DiskParInfo.bat has been uploaded.

Users do not like to read the instructions.

    Tuneup_plus_log.bat
will write all the output into a LOG file on the desktop. Users can simply upload it without following any instructions.

@zbook, do you want me to add the above version onto the following page?

Batch files for use in BSOD debugging
The one thing I don't like about using the log file is that there is no output to the screen so there is no indication of what is happening. My concern is the user will think something has died or hung and terminate the batch file.

I don't understand why people can't follow some fairly simple directions on how to capture the output, I mean it's not difficult.

People refusing to follow instructions is their problem, not ours.

If you and Zbook feel strongly enough about this then I would say go ahead and add the Tuneup_plus_log.bat to the BSOD repository. You've done one before so you know how to do it. I can send you the full source BB Code to Tuneup.bat if you want to use that as a model.

    Let me know.

The attached script is for testing only. No operation will be performed. See whether there are flashes. I found nothing that could cause flashes.
This Testing_only.bat batch run SFC. I'll comment that out then run it and record the session to see what I get.

    Edit:
Here is the zipped .mp4 recording of my run. Testing_only.zip

I cannot produce the flashes at my end. If the flashes do not interfere with the operations, they can simply be ignored, as they are just momentary. I will add Tuneup_plus_log into the following if you agree.

    Matthew, here is the BBCODE source from Tuneup.bat BSOD repository entry. You can start with that if you want;

Please evaluate the scripts for thread posting (multiple scripts with text from notepad).

    I'm having to perform edits.

How do you modify the text immediately after the paste so that it is not bold?

How come there are so many returns / unused rows before the final [/B] ?

Tuneup.bat - Click here to go to the BSOD batch repository to download and run this batch file.

LOGS.bat - Click here to go to the BSOD batch repository to download and run this batch file.

Upgrade_failure_info.bat - Click here to go to the BSOD batch repository to download and run this batch file.

DiskParInfo.bat - Click here to go to the BSOD batch repository to download and run this batch file.

The upgrade failure method is preferred for font / bold etc.

@zbook, I will deal with the problem mentioned in your #511 later.
I am now writing the following post:

The box flashes are uncomfortable when they are unexpected.
    And uncomfortable when expected.
If possible, can ACP or APS open without the box flashes?

I see a flash with "User Account Control" disabled.
I see no flash with "User Account Control" enabled.

Enable your User Account Control and see whether there are flashes.
The flash I see is the same as the one shown in the following .mp4 file.

The flash is caused by the following line, which will get administrative privileges.

    (Net session >nul 2>&1)||(PowerShell start """%~f0""" -verb RunAs & Exit /B)

@Ztruker, should the above line be removed so as to kill the flash?
