I am not so sure there is a problem with your RAM but it is up to you. If you have no data to worry about a clean install is good to do and reformats your drive to remove everything.

No, he found some evidence that Windows was predicting failure but I think that was back when your memory was overclocked.

As philc43 commented a clean install is an option.

Other options are reset save files, custom install, Windows refresh, etc.

These help differentiate software from hardware problems.

If the safe mode testing period is long and you don't have unexpected shutdowns and restarts then it is likely a software problem. In contrast, if the safe mode testing period is short you could be misled by the stability. So the time period is important. The longer the safe mode testing the better the testing conditions.

If you make free backup images you can clean install for testing purposes and later restore the image.

For reset save files, custom install, and Windows refresh you would need to reinstall drivers and applications.

You need a full kernel memory dump to debug a clock watchdog bsod and as you have only had one of this type of crash as far as I know I would not like to say what the cause was. BSOD analysis is all about finding patterns and not jumping to conclusions.

Thank you for reporting back on your success. Can you confirm if it was the new memory that fixed the issue or if it was the clean install that fixed it.

    Please upload a new V2.

Do you still have access to the malfunctioning RAM?
