    Hi Kdiizle,

Please download the file here, save it to your Desktop, right-click its icon, and select Run as administrator. It should bring up a cmd terminal waiting for you to press a key to start recording a trace. Press a key and it should indicate that it's recording a trace and says to press a key again to end the trace. If it's successful it should put a trace.etl file on your Desktop. Can you try that and see if it works?
amazing! - just tried a test run and it seems to be working fine :) - I'll post in a couple of days the log as I'll be away from the PC

If it's working correctly it should run in the background (so don't close the cmd terminal window - you need to do that by pressing a key when you want it to stop) and it will keep the trace data of the last 30 or 40 seconds before telling it to stop. The file size should be somewhere between 200 and 300MB.

Hi there - I just ran it and when I finish it, it says "Cannot find file specified" then closes.

    Download and install: Everything
    voidtools

Search for *.etl > post images into the thread

These are trial and error steps:

For WPR see if these settings can be ran:
    a) Performance recording: First level triage
    b) Performance scenario: General
    c) Detail level: light
    d) Logging mode: file

Run 3 recordings of 30 - 40 seconds each > post share links into the thread

Please open a cmd terminal, run the following commands:

    Code:
    path

    where xperf
and copy/paste the output in a reply.

Please right-click the script icon, select Run as administrator, and then post a screenshot of the error message in the cmd terminal if it appears and stays on screen.
