Unstable System Assitance

Hi, read a few of your BSOD posts and was impressed with the assistance given so thought i'd register and give it a go.

Getting multiple BSODs can be stable for a few hours then get repeated events. Formatted a few weeks back and feel like its a driver of some sorts, i know an intel SSD driver was always mentioned in the reports so i have rolled that one back and its stopped reporting that one but keeps randomly crashing. Weirdly also has a habbit of when i click shutdown to bluescreen, not every time but enough for me to notice!

Thanks will give that a go to tomorrow. Left a memtest64 cycling going overnight. So far it’s listed 3 errors so could be a ram issue.

Had repeated errors on MemTest64 with Test 6, and 1 hammer test 13 error, took 3 sticks out and replaced each one and re-ran test 6 and couldnt get a repeat issue. Tried each stick in each port and couldn't get it to fail again. Ran the driver verifier and first it was a Valorant anticheat so unstalled that, then it said hamatchi was an issue so removed that, then it said the logitech gamepad driver was at fault so got rid of that, then it said corsair link was an issue, it was at this point it was apparant that the driver verifier was going to flag ever driver that wasn't signed.

The question is why do you install unsigned software in the first place?
Unsigned software can contain malware, expose your privacy or behave strange for what ever other reason.

If you are using driver download tools, or if you download drivers from sites of questionable reputation then please stop doing it.

First remove questionable software you may have installed.

Use bellow site to reinstall ALL your drivers (except the BIOS):

You may need to uninstall some drivers in device manager first.

Thanks for assitance. I decided it was going to be too difficult to uninstall all my drivers and a fresh format was the way to go. Will take your advice going forward and not bother with DriverBooster in the future. My fear was that as the MotherBoard was getting on a bit (2017) that Asus would stop updating their website with the latest drivers for it. I guess if its not broke dont fix it!

The only place where one should get drivers are:

1. Motherboard site
2. Windows update
3. Specific hardware site

If there are no updates on these 3, you are up to date, even if that means 3 or more years behind.
Usually that means one needs to buy new hardware to be more up to date.

In any case your decision to reformat the drive is very vise, it's the only way to regain trust into OS.
Unsigned software/drivers and pirated material is very tricky, there are good exceptions, but you'll have to figure this out on your own instead of asking for advice.

My list is very tinny. and so far no problem
