Right, will uninstall Hyper-V and will not install any other virtualization for now and just run plain vanilla until I get the wifi card switched. Will see how it goes i the meantime!

BTW: I checked the Alps drivers you linked and they are actually older (2015) than the one delivered by Windows Update (2017). Alps versions numbers are inherently hard to grasp and does not seem to give any clue about which one is newer than the other. As they only deliver drivers directly to manufacturers (no downloads from their own site) I'm thinking maybe the "versions" are manufacturer codes. I've instead checked through copyright stamps in contained driver files to get a clue about age, sigh...

Here's an update since my last post:

I uninstalled Hyper-V on the laptop and that seems to have solved the DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE crashes - I've been running in this configuration until yesterday and have not had any of those BSODs that previously would appear every 2-3 days.

Today I installed the new Intel Wifi 6 adapter I ordered. It seems to be working fine on the system. As soon as I rebooted the laptop, Intel Driver & Support Assistant popped up and installed the latest drivers for the new card. In Event Viewer I can see that I no longer get the warning about BTHUSB, which looks promising. ("The local adapter does not support an important Low Energy controller state to support peripheral mode. The minimum required supported state mask is 0x2491f7fffff; got 0x1fffffff. Low Energy peripheral role functionality will not be available.")
As an aside, I can mention that the new wifi card's antenna connectors (unlike the old one's) were marked with colored triangles, black for MAIN and white for AUX, but this is the reverse of the antenna cable colors on the Toshiba Z30. So the white antenna cable should go to the MAIN connector with the black triangle and so forth.

Now I will test the system for a while with the new wifi card, and if it looks good I will install Hyper-V again to see how that goes.

I've been running with Hyper-V reactivated for several weeks now and everything is working fine. No more BSODs
Wifi also connects snappier with the new card after resuming from sleep so seems something fishy was going on previously.
Big thanks for helping me sort this out!
