Add'l BSODs (1909)

I was perusing photos in my file manager. I just have a bluetooth dongle in my usb drive, as well as a pass through for my keyboard and mouse.

The program is "Fan Control" GitHub - Rem0o/FanControl.Releases: This is the release repository for Fan Control, a highly customizable fan controlling software for Windows.

I put Afterburner back on, but I think this was after I BSOD'd with the cause being my GPU driver, its has been a while, though. Do you want me to remove Afterburner as well?

OK, if there is no update for the Fan Control driver and as it is an old driver all you can do is remove the Fan Control and see if it makes a difference.

Afterburner is separate but unless you are using it and need it I would personally uninstall it.

What did you get from your analysis of Reliability History?

I use Afterburner for frametime monitoring and limiting and GPU fan curves. I uninstalled both to see just in case.

I don't see any patterns, there were AMD related hardware errors, but not for the last one, and the time is after the BSOD.

Did you ever try using different slots for your RAM as suggested in my earlier post #80?

Do you still have memory compression turned off?

Do you have any form of file compression in use on your SSD to save space?

Compression is on, I think bc the there is an amount in the compressed parentheses.

Also could it have to do with RAM speed? I have it set to its marketed speed at 2666 Mhz, but it defaulted to 2133 Mhz

The RAM speed can certainly be increased to 2666MHz. You would need to check the settings in the BIOS to determine if it is correctly set up. Try leaving all the settings on Auto but if that fails see what speed you get if you use the XMP mode.

The latest crash still points to memory compression errors. I tend to think this is hardware but see the Microsoft article for some possible alternatives. I would recommend that you run another memory test. A minimum of 8 passes of memtest86 which will require two runs of 4 passes done one after the other so that the memory modules do not cool down.

Is this the memtest86 I use?
