    BSOD i7-10700k

    Hello,

Recently built this machine, and I’ve gotten a bluescreen. I left everything in BIOS on default and applied the XMP Profile on the system. I’ve been experiencing odd lock ups while using the system. I will use the system (browsing youtube) and randomly the system seems to become unresponsive. I won’t be able to scroll down webpages. I closed out google chrome via taskmanager, but the system kept seeming to be more and more unresponsive. During the system being unresponsive I attempted to open command prompt and I was not able to type in command prompt. When I hit shutdown via ctrl alt delete the system produced a bluescreen.

Below are my specs for my system, and I will include the bluescreen as well. This is a fresh install of Windows 10. For the build I simply only replaced the CPU and motherboard. All other parts are from my old build.

Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Version 2004, OS Build 19041.264

    GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760
    PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G3, 220-G3-0750-X1, 80+ GOLD, 750W
Storage: Samsung SSD 960 EVO 500 GB (NVME), WDC WD30EFRX-68EUZN0, Intel SSDSC2BW12A4, Toshiba DT01ACA300
DVD Drive: Sony DVD RW DRU-V200S

Okay, updated all 3 drivers. As a heads up I was looking through the minidump myself, and did think it was part of the bluetooth or wireless driver. These 2 have been updated, and I was still getting these lockups. However, I never did update the Ethernet driver. So hopefully the issue is revolved around the Ethernet driver. Usually these lock ups happen twice a day, so I'll report back.

I also ran memtest 86 over night, and the memory had no errors.

Thanks for your help. Hopefully this works!

After updating the 3 drivers. I'm still getting the lock up. I've attached a video of the exact issue that occurs.

    YouTube

All I was doing during this time was browsing on google chrome, and randomly I was unable to scroll through pages. I minimized chrome, and in the video I'm attempting to right click on the desktop to bring up the menus, left click drag to show the selection box which doesn't work, and I'm trying to ctrl alt delete which does not bring up taskmanager.

I attempted to push the power button to see if the system would shutdown, but nothing occurred. Afterwards I hit the restart button, and the system rebooted. No new minidump was created.

Any ideas? If not I am going to try to go with a refund processor with newegg and get a different motherboard and exchange the cpu for the same model.

Okay I got around to getting the Intel SSD firmware update tool going. It detects the Intel SSD, and it states "the selected intel ssd current firmware as of this tool release."

I've attached the image of exactly what the tool stated.

    Attachment 282646

Do you think it's the Intel SSD that is causing the issues? My windows is installed on my Samsung EVO 960 (M.2). I went ahead and unplugged the Intel SSD 120 GB. I'l report back if there are any issues.

    Thank you.

Update - I removed both the Intel SSD, and the Western Digital HDD. I left the Toshiba 3 TB in my system. I experienced the system lock again as I did in my video. I will now disable the XMP profile on the BIOS, and loaded all defaults. I will test again, and report back.

Any other ideas @MrPepka? Thank you.
