It does not mean Windows recognized the issue is with the external drive, because Windows is not aware of the issue.

It means Windows detected problems on the mentioned drives and reports the problems to be investigated by the user or someone else. These problem reports can be viewed in the event viewer by the user (eventvwr.msc) so the user can investigate it. Since it's not that easy to find these in the event viewer, I've done that for you

Oh, I see! Okay, thank you. And if I'm understanding correctly, the only drive it reported problems with is the F: drive, correct?

If the F drive is the only other drive that's connected in the past few days, then yes.

    It happened again.
Since my last post, I still haven't been able to get Premiere Pro working. I can use the program, but as soon as I click File > export, or ctrl + M (to export), the program screen goes black and it stops responding. No help after posting a thread

I just got a new hard 8TB external drive, and copied everything from my 6TB drive onto it. (6tb drive is the one that scanned free of errors, the 5tb drive is the one that had bad sectors)

I was in Photoshop Lightroom Classic, and for some reason many of my photos/folders were duplicated, which I suspect happened after adding my entire "raw files" folder from the last several years. So I went to delete the duplicate folders/photos from Lightroom, and the program & laptop started acting really screwy. Right click a greyed-out (offline) folder > remove folder from lightroom. All is fine, it starts processing the request, but after several minutes a strange glitch appears on the screen:

    Attachment 280590

This glitch stays there until the screen suddenly goes black for a moment, then shows my lock screen. Unlock the laptop, it seems to have restarted (extremely quickly though, black screen only persists for a few seconds), all icons are enlarged (including the windows pop-up display when pressing the windows button) and all programs are closed. Glitch is still on the screen though, and stays there until I've restarted the laptop, including while it's restarting. Then everything goes back to normal. But this same thing happens when I try to remove the files from Lightroom again.

Probably important to note that I'm not asking Lightroom to delete files from the disk, only from within the program. The drive that the files were previously located in is not plugged in, and Lightroom clearly states something like "this only removes photos from Lightroom, not the disk"

Also, the glitch is different each time.

And the last time I tried to remove the files, I ended up getting a blue screen. Even stranger still, the blue screen persisted even after hitting 100%. I had to force shutdown by holding the power button.

Just ran V2 log collector, here's the file:

Please post a share link for: C:\windows\memory.dmp

    Code:
    LastWriteTime Size (MB) FullName
    ------------- --------- --------

Find a camera or smartphone to take pictures and post images into the thread.

Plan to run this test overnight:
Launch HP UEFI hardware diagnostics > system > extensive > loop until error > the next AM if it has made 2 or more loops > click esc > post images into the thread > component tests (many are interactive) > run all GPU tests > post images of the tests performed with results into the thread

Is it not available through the V2 log collector? I'm trying to upload it to Drive, or move to a zip folder and upload that, but I keep getting "access denied," and I don't see any option for running these tasks as an administrator.

Also, would simply reinstalling Windows be an option at this point? Could it potentially fix the issue(s)?

I already have CoreTemp installed, if this works?

The computer problems appear to be related to Video and more information may be available viewing the memory dump.
If misbehaving drivers are identified they can be replaced.
If there are recurrent misbehaving drivers different versions can be tested.
And if multiple driver versions misbehave the hardware needs to be tested.
If the hardware is malfunctioning then that would need HP or a repair shop.

See if you can right click to move the memory dump file to the desktop or the downloads folder.
If it allows the movement to another location then upload a share link using one drive, drop box, or google drive.

The computer can be upgraded to the May 2020 windows version using windows update or by an in place upgrade repair.
Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10

Reinstalling Windows requires reinstalling drivers and applications.
This can be time consuming and can be used as an option to rule out problems related to Windows.
It could be performed later if necessary.

See if you can clean dust from the computer vents and fans.

Look in the BIOS, and Nvidia control panel for options / settings to use only Intel GPU and only Nvidia GPU.
    Post images into the thread.

Tried right-clicking, didn't work. Drag and drop to desktop worked, but uploading from there still does this:

Do you want me to just analyze in windbg and share the text?

Should I try doing the upgrade to May 2020 version now?

Fans and vents are regularly cleaned with compressed air, most recently was a few days ago. I'll check out the control panels for GPU settings you mentioned
