Please update the last link, it's an Nvidia driver and not AMD driver.

Would this be the correct driver download? I have the nvidia geforce mx150. It said to choose between studio drivers and game-ready drivers, and said studio drivers is best for content creators like myself, but studio drivers had no results.

    See post #13 steps #19 and #20.

The Nvidia website may be used at a later time if there are recurrent misbehaving drivers.

Okay, thank you. I haven't yet completed the rest of the steps, by bedtime last night I was too tired to get it done. I'll update after I finish, thanks again :)

Not finished yet with the 15 and 16, but for #17, can someone clarify this?

"17) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    chkdsk /r /v

This may take hours to run so plan to run overnight.
Run on all drives using the syntax: chkdsk /r /v C: or chkdsk /r /v D: changing the drive letter to the applicable drive."

Are these two bolded sections two separate steps?

    1) Each disk drive could have various drive letters so when running the chkdsk switches you need to select the applicable drive letter. This is command syntax. So if there were only one drive you could type chkdsk /b /v. If there is more than one drive then chkdsk /b /v C: , chkdsk /b /v D: , chkdsk /b /v E: , etc.

    2) Overnight run Macrorit on each drive:

    3) Run Crystal Disk standard edition:
    CrystalDiskInfo – Crystal Dew World

    4) Please run Macrorit before chkdsk.

    Code:
    Event[12422]:
      Log Name: System
      Source: disk
      Date: 2020-05-04T10:57:44.331

      Task: N/A
      Level: Error
      Opcode: N/A

      User Name: N/A
      Computer: DESKTOP-EH76GAR
      Description:
The device, \Device\Harddisk1\DR7, has a bad block.

    Code:
    Event[11847]:
      Log Name: System
      Source: disk
      Date: 2020-04-30T21:02:21.325
      Event ID: 7
      Task: N/A
      Level: Error
      Opcode: N/A
      Keyword: Classic
      User: N/A
      User Name: N/A
      Computer: DESKTOP-EH76GAR
      Description:
The device, \Device\Harddisk1\DR5, has a bad block.

    5) Please note that the chkdsk switch was changed from r to b.
This may take substantially longer but is a deeper testing of the drive.

Okay, that makes sense. Excluding my external drives, I have just the one drive, C:

Just downloaded Macrorit, I'll start it before bed tonight. Thank you :)

Including the external? The problem seems to be happening regardless of if the external drive is plugged in or not

This is the best time to check the hardware (all drives ).

There will be other hardware tests making a comprehensive test of all major components.
