    BSOD, System Thread exception not handled

    Hey, tried several times to upgrade from Win7 64bit to Win 10.

    After upgrade i mostly could login and then get BSOD sometimes after a few seconds, other times i could use edge and chrome for several minutes. The weird thing was that starting task manager seemed to prolong trouble free operation...

    The PC works in safe mode......

    There are loads of errors in the Event Viewer....

    Hope someone can help

    Both of your dumps are blaming SoundTap, looking at the driver it's very old and needs updating. Check for updates to the software here, if none are available I'd recommend uninstalling the software.

    Code:
    BugCheck 1000007E, {ffffffffc0000005, fffff8007ecd3b3b, ffffd001691ea848, ffffd001691ea060}

    Probably caused by : stdriver64.sys ( stdriver64+4eb4 )

    Bugger, now it will only boot in safe mode.

    I ran sfc/scannow and it reports corrupted files that it could not fix.......

    Any suggestions?

    Think i will roll back and wait for SP2

    A clean install would probably do the trick, it should wipe any remnants off over from your original OS. Windows 10 - Clean Install - Windows 10 Forums
