Bsod-couldn't boot in to bios -shows flashing white hyphen like light

    Good Evening guys,

My ASUS G74SX having this issue just showing flashing white hyphen like light on the screen, not booting in to Bios too! This all happened after upgrading from windows7 10 Pro, so Formated the SSD completely, trying to Clean install of windows 7 through bootable USB,to do this i can't even go in to BIOS at all!

what i have done so far!

*Usual remove battery, hold the power button, put the battery pack and turn on.
*Removed the Ram, Re inserted ,then tried to power up..nothing happened.
*Removed Hard drive, and tried ..same issue!
*Removed the CMOS battery and tried turning on..it did tuned on,got turn on so updated the windows ,updated Nvidea drivers etc, then switched off then it didn't turn on at all, after that i tried formating the hard drive and tried to turn on even removing and putting CMOS battery...but didn't work at all!

Tried above by browsing few forumns, most of them considered the above issue is related hardware issues but later found out its not, (Mine also working good before windows 10 upgrade, unfortunately deleted the Reserved recovery partition, but still have the original windows 7 recovery cd's)

For many people removing the battery and CMOS battery worked.

Any help and suggestion pls. Thank you.

Did you try a new CMOS battery yet? They are fairly cheap. That's the first thing I would do.

Bummer. So does reviving removing the CMOS batter and laptop battery allow you to power on now or not?

Powers up. Powering up not a issue, not going in to the BIOS at all! Just blank screen with flashing whites here and there..

Just now tried this too..no luck!

Microsoft Issues Windows 10 'Black Screen' Update Warning

After upgrading from window7 to 10 it was working fine for some time then started this.

Is there a way to get in to the BIOS ,like loading a tool from USB? Bcoz the bluray drive does spins.

What key are you pressing to get into BIOS? From what I've found you need to press the F9 or Del key.

Manufacturer Type Models Boot Menu Boot Once BIOS Key
    ASUS laptop Esc F9
    ASUS laptop R503C F8 DEL

That would drive me crazy too. Definitely noting to do with Windows 10 though.

Try removing the hard drive. Will it power up and go into BIOS then?
16GB of RAM, remove one DIMM at a time and power up, see if that makes a difference.

Done that all above before itself bro, thank you for being with patience and listening to me.

I feel like leave it and sell it for spare or repair and move on, i really don't know how it powered up couple of days ago like that! After not working for months! When it powered up, i updated the windows nearly all the drivers, hoping it will be ok.

i have to give a try buy connecting it to external monitor and see in case if screen comes up there!!
