Please run chkdsk overnight and post results when available.

Windows driver verifier will be restarted tomorrow and run for 48 hours.
The for an additional 36 hours after the last BSOD.
If there are no further BSOD that will conclude the use of the tool.

Start the testing tomorrow with 3 customized tests in the TF link.

Increase the customized tests up to the 19 in the Microsoft link:
    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...3-c48669e4c983

If there are significant performance or boot problems some of the customized tests that had been well tested can be unchecked.
The goal is to use all of the customized tests in the Microsoft link.
Increase the customized tests from 3 up to the 19 in the Microsoft link at 3 - 5 / hour.

Please learn the reset and bootmode commands so that you can return to the desktop after each BSOD.

    For any BSOD:

    a) run the V2 log collector to collect new log files

    b) open file explorer> this PC > C: > in the right upper corner search for: C:\Windows\memory.dmp
    > if the file size is < 1.5 GB then zip > post a separate share link into the thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive

    1) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    chkdsk /r /v
This may take hours to run so plan to run overnight.
Run on all drives using the syntax: chkdsk /r /v C: or chkdsk /r /v D: changing the drive letter to the applicable drive.

    C:\Windows\system32>chkdsk /r /v
The type of the file system is NTFS.
    Cannot lock current drive.

Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be
checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)

    Type: Y
    reboot

    2) Use the information in this link to find the chkdsk report in the event viewer. Copy and paste into notepad > save to desktop > post into the thread using one drive or drop box share link:

I completed the chdsk last night, and this is the result: Dropbox - chdsk.txt - Simplify your life

I'm not sure I understand any of the above, sorry -- I'm a complete technophobe. What are the 3 customized tests in the TF link?

    The chkdsk report displayed cleaning.
    There were no significant problems.

For Windows driver verifier there are customized settings for each drivers and tests.
    Select all non-Microsoft drivers.
Select the 3 customized tests in the Ten Forums link:

    I/O Verification
    Force pending I/O requests
    IRP logging

If there are no performance problems increase the number of customized tests by 3 -5 / hour up to the 19 customized tests in the Microsoft link.

    Hi,

So - I did as you instructed. I first activated the 3 drivers as per the TF link.

From there, I activated 5 more from the Windows link - see here (Dropbox - FDF77D6C-3D12-4E9E-8F51-2AF8DE30D6BC.JPG - Simplify your life)

I continued to use the laptop for the best part of a day, with no issues.

About an hour ago, I selected the next 5 drivers - and almost instantly, I got a BSOD - " DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION, What failed: igdkmd64.sys

This is the memory dump: Dropbox - MEMORY.rar - Simplify your life

I hope the above information helps you better understand what the problem is

    Thank you

Thanks for your help so far.

I downloaded this driver: Download Intel(R) Graphics - Windows(R) 10 DCH Drivers which I think is the latest for my laptop.

Removed the old driver, installed the new- restarted as per instructions and it appears no new driver is displaying.

    Any ideas?

    1) Download and install Intel Driver and Support Assistant:
Download Intel(R) Driver & Support Assistant

    2) launch the application > update drivers as needed

    3) See these links to use hardware ID to fix the yellow triangle with black exclamation mark:

It's as if the Intel Graphic Driver has completely gone after I removed it from the Device Manager - even after installing the latest driver manually.
