Random freezes + bootup issues after

Dear friends,

I'm new to this forum and would like to seek help to my problem.

Been experiencing random freezes, sometimes with a blue screen, sometimes green, sometimes pink even and many times just running lines on the edge of the screen when freezing. I'm not running any graphics card.

And after that happens, when I try to startup again, many a times the fan spins but the computer doesn't boot. Or the fan spins and power cuts.

Appreciate that it is an old desktop and probably worth replacing but its just baffling what's causing it. So appreciate any help here. Cheers.

Hi MrPepka, i have updated both the bios and windows as advised.

Do you still have blue screens?

Yes same symptoms. In fact as i am typing this, i just got a pink screen as the pc froze.

Zip does not contain crash dump files. Please check Virtual Memory settings:
Control Panel - System - on left side Advanced System Settings - Advanced tab - in Performance section click button Settings - Advanced tab - in section Virtual Memory click button Change

Done that but still doesn't seem to be any crash dumps. Anything else I should do? Thanks.
