What happens at startup? Is a blue screen displayed or something else?

It attempts to boot up multiple times, but quits at the login screen and retries. After a couple failed attempts it goes to a blue screen that says "Windows did not load correctly" and gives options for troubleshooting etc.

OK, in this case turn off Driver Verifier in safe mode, turn it on again with the same settings, but to verify the settings in addition to third-party drivers also the driver from the NT kernel ntoskrnl.exe

I also just deleted the ASUS GameFirst app because I did not use it. Maybe this could help.

So boot into safe mode disable that driver then reboot normally and go through the original steps, but include that kernal driver?

I will try this later when I am home from work and let you know.

Thank you again for all your help.

Just exactly the same steps as before, but taking into account the kernel driver to additionally check if any of the drivers get dirty at the stage of communication with the kernel driver

I don't have a driver named NT kernel ntoskrnl.exe in the driver verifier manager list.
