If you can get one through Amazon you can return it if it doesn't make a difference. May cost more though.

There were multiple hardware problems seen in the test results.
A fail using IPDT has been a reliable failure test.
Additional confirmation testing can be done:
Prime 95
Ocbase
etc.
I can get cheap ones on eBay. It's just going to be a pain to replace. Because of the giant cooler on the CPU, the entire motherboard needs to come out to replace it.

Got a replacement CPU (Q9400)
Hoping to get it fitted this week.

Sorry to revive and old thread but just wanted to close this one off as solved. It took me a while to actually get this new CPU fitted as the machine seemed stable again for a while but a couple of weeks ago it started BSODing again at least once a day so I finally swapped it out.

It's been 12 days now without a problem so hopefully that is it solved once and for all. Many thanks to all who helped!
Looks like your Q6600 is throwing a bus error, even with no FSB overclocking!
Not normal unless you OC'ing the FSB. And if you are, then you need to increase the FSB termination voltage, a known problem with Kentsfield CPUs! (65nm Core 2 Quad)
But needing the increase the FSB termination voltage at stock frequency, is ridiculousness!
I think that Kentsfield is done!
A Yorkfield (45nm Core 2 Quad) should beat that Kentsfield!
