When installing drivers use the drivers displayed on the HP website.
For drivers not displayed on the HP website use the component manufacturer websites: Intel, Nvidia, AMD, Killler Networks, Realtek, etc.

Please do not use third party websites for drivers.

For any drivers installed by third party software:
    a) perform a system restore to a date before the installation or
    b) install new drivers from the HP or component manufacturer websites

Turn off Windows updates of non-Microsoft drivers:
Enable or Disable Driver Updates in Windows Update in Windows 10
Prevent Windows Update from Updating Specific Device Driver

Install an older GPU driver following the DDU method earlier in the thread.

The latest BSOD displayed: VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (116)

See if you can find a friend, neighbor, relative, or local computer store to swap the GPU card.

The card can be Nvidia or AMD.

    Make two tests:
    a) test a new card in the problematic computer
    b) test the GPU card from the problematic computer in another computer

    Solved I think...

    Hello all,

Thanks for your help over the past weeks in order to get this resolved.

I ended up going to my local computer superstore and purchasing a new graphics card with a lower memory.
This worked perfectly, so I assume the original one either had some sort of fault or was just too large for my PC to cope with.

Anyway, many thanks for your help!!

I'm glad to read that the GPU problems were fixed after replacing the card.
    You are welcome.
