When available please use one of the above links.

Please perform the in place upgrade repair using a new Windows 10 iso.
If it fails then run setupdiag > post a share link into the thread (one drive, drop box, or google drive)

I just tried the link, it works for me, and I don't know why it does not for you. Perhaps I posted it incorrectly, so here it is as I used it: WeTransfer . Please do not tell me what to use to post links; I have done this successfully for many years, see no reason why I should start using something other than what I know works for me. I know that you are simply trying to be helpful, so please don't take my comment personally, it is not meant that way at all.

I just bookmarked the setupdiag page, and shall see what I can do, but shall use my own share link.

The instructions read "Upload the created zip file to a reputable file sharing service such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox or Amazon Cloud Drive (US) (UK) and post a share link." They do NOT mandate the use of only those links.

    "Is WeTransfer secure?
The process of uploading the files and sending the link is completely encrypted. While this poses no risk in itself: The recipient receives an unencrypted email with a link to the file." It is a safe file-transfer method, which meets the above statement of using "a reputable file sharing service," and would not be offered by Thunderbird had the programmers of Thunderbird first determined that WeTransfer is such a reputable service.

I have taken the time to compile the data you requested, and have provided a link to download the file; that is all I am going to do. I do not understand why you insist that I use a different link, as the one I provided is safe.

The instructions say use a link "such as"; the dictionary definition of this idiom is quite clear as to the meaning of this, from Merriam-Webster:

    Definition of such as

1 —used to introduce an example or series of examples

As you can certainly see, "such as" does not restrict you from using links other than the four provided in the forum BSOD posting instructions; those are suggestions, and that list is in no way restrictive.

There are problems with many share links that include: risks of downloading unwanted software, malware, duration of the link, access to the link, etc.

Please use one of these 4 share links: one drive, drop box, or google drive, amazon cloud

I don't know what it means, of course. I don't see anything about the failed ISO attempts.

The setupdiag posted was one week old.

Please download to the desktop a new windows 10 iso.
Then perform an in place upgrade repair in clean boot.

If the in place upgrade fails then:
    a) run setupdiag > post a share link (there will be multiple files)

b)post share links for these files:

    setuperr.log
    setupact.log

I rather expected that to be what I need to do, which I will when I have the time. Given my 40Mbps DSL line, creating the ISO takes quite a while, plus, of course, the time to run it.

@zbook, nothing wrong with WeTransfer. I downloaded the nfo file and was able to open it without any problems.
