Unable to carry out the instruction
I have only been able to get as far as downling two files. The Zip file does nothing when clicked. The Folder can be opened but is empty. Please advise

Please try the DM Log collector and see if you get on better with that one.
Thanks for the suggestion. It seems to have been doing the business, takes long enough, but ends by saying the results are saved to the Desktop. If they are, they are invisible. I suppose it would have helped if it had given the name of the file(s) so I might find them by searching, but it does not. Advise again please!
Assuming it was saved it will be created with a .zip extension, Do a search for *.zip with a date of when it was run. It may be on an other drive if you have changed the default location for desktop.
I am somewhat at a loss. After much searching I found a Folder ---V2 log collector 10.7 ---but on clicking it I only get 'Folder is empty'
We are going to need a bit more information from you to understand why you can't run the V2 or DM log collector.
The first step is to download the V2 logcollector zip file from this website. Did this step complete and where did the file get saved?
The next step is to extract the V2 Log collector. Did you extract all the files to a new location? Please post a screen shot of the extracted files so we can see what was extracted.
The next step is to run the executable file by double clicking the log-collector shortcut in the extracted folder.

The instructions right u8nder the V2 download button are pretty explicit. If you follow then it should work.
