    BSOD Kernel-Power 41, BugcheckCode 10

Hi, I'm a new member of this forum, I just registered a few hours ago as I'm at wit's end regarding a BSOD that began today.

I mostly use my PC to game, as you'll see in my specs, I have a Ryzen 1600X that's OC'd to 4ghz (has always been working, stress tested very recently when I changed RAM to current DIMMs that are also in my specs). I'm using Windows 10 Pro 64 bit, OS build 18363.476 ver. 1909. Last and only thing that changed in my system are my display drivers, that I updated a few days ago, haven't really been gaming since. Today I started getting BSODs while playing Civ 6/Shenmue 3 and watching Youtube videos on my second monitor. It seems to only happen when I try to multitask (gaming and watching content), otherwise all's good. I checked both of my SSDs (Samsung 960 Evo 1TB and Samsung 850 Evo 1TB, both are healthy and working perfectly). Can't seem to put my finger on what's going on. I used the tool provided on this forum to compile the required data, only problem is, I had my memory dump set to automatic and weirdly there are no Memory.dmp or minidump folder anywhere on my Windows install drive. I have everything else. Let me know if you can figure out what's going on with the provided info or if there is an absolute need for a memory.dmp/minidump folder.

    Many thanks!

    Hi LeLedg,

    Welcome to 10Forums.

This will explain the lack of dumps.
    Attachment 258289

There do not seem to be any other records about any crashes. For now, we have to wait until another crash occurs hoping it will save a dump file.

If you want to do something meanwhile, I would suggest to temporarily revert the overclock. Even though you have stress-tested the overclock to ensure stability, there's no way those tests guarantee stability in every possible situation.
Whenever we suspect a hardware issue with the GPU or CPU, for example, we suggest the same (or similar) tests to test the stability but we are aware of the limits of those tests. To be sure the overclock is not causing any problems, regardless of the tests it's been put through, I suggest reverting the overclock while troubleshooting.

Hey there folks, sorry I haven't updated in a while. Just so happened I didn't play and watch content at the same time. But I did tonight, and I BSOD'd twice. Once I got no dumps at all, again. And the second time, I got a dump. Don't know why it's so inconsistent as I made sure to have dumps on as well as no automatic reboots, yet it always auto reboots and more often than not there's no dumps to show for.

Nonetheless, first logs are on my OC configs, the second one, where I finally have a dump is without CPU OC but with the RAM XMP loaded in.

Thanks in advance and happy holidays!

Just crashed again, nothing is OC'd, I'm really confused now.

Hey folks, PC just crashed again, got all the dumps and good stuff to figure out what's the problem. Nothing is OC'd ever since my last post, I'd really appreciate if someone can point me in a direction since I'm at a loss for words with what's going on.

So, in your .dmp it points to ntoskrnl.exe. Do you still have XMP loaded in as I would disable that and see if it still BSOD on you.

Thanks for the pointers folks! The XMP is in fact still loaded, and I had run a Memtest86 back when I redid the whole system OC a few months back. I'll do a memtest with and without XMP loaded and keep you posted.

Hey all, I decided to do the first test with the XMP loaded on to see if it would crap out due to too aggressive timings. It passed all 4 passes, no errors. I'll try a second test with the second XMP profile clocked at 3000mhz and a third one stock and report back when it's done.

    Second test done

Alright, second memtest done with the lower clocked XMP profile, the one at 3000mhz instead of 3200mhz. Still no errors found. On to the last test at standard clock speed with no XMP loaded in. If something doesn't turns up, which I have a feeling will be the case since both prior tests were done with much tighter timings, then it's back to square one to find the culprit. I'll be back in 7 hours with the results.

As suspected, after the prior successful two tests, at stock RAM speed no errors showed up. So at this point I'm pretty much convinced that the memory modules are not the culprit. What do you think? What else could it be?

It's not as likely, but it could still be the memory. Most hardware tests are generally pretty good, but they are programs relying on hardware + the fact that hardware is quite complex and most tests can't test everything of the hardware makes it possible that even though hardware has been thoroughly tested it may still be the cause.

Have you had crashes in the past few days?
