    Driver Power State Failure

    Hi guys,

I got a BSOD (Driver Power State Failure) earlier. My laptop started up as usual. For some odd reason I had no system restore points.

This is the link to the log-collector files Dropbox - SHARLANNA-(2019-11-29_20-29-51).zip - Simplify your life

Thanks in advance for your help.

In that case, I highly recommend you to use the Snappy Driver program to find a newer version of the Realtek Bluetooth driver Download

The guy at MajorGeeks said he preferred Driver Booster over Snappy Driver so I downloaded and used that one instead. It also said that my Realtek Bluetooth driver was up to date but it updated my Nvidia Display, Batteries, IDE ATA/Adapi controllers, and Realtek Network Adaptor.

    1) Please post a share link for C:\windows\memory.dmp

    Code:
    Crash dump found at C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP
    Creation date: 11/29/2019 19:30:41
    Size on disk: 1142 MB

    2) For any BSOD:

    a) run the V2 log collector to collect new log files

    b) open file explorer> this PC > C: > in the right upper corner search for: C:\Windows\memory.dmp
    > if the file size is < 1.5 GB then zip > post a separate share link into the thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive

    3) Create a new restore point:
Create System Restore Point in Windows 10

    4) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    5) sfc /scannow
    6) dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth
    7) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    8) sfc /scannow
    9) chkdsk /scan
    10) wmic recoveros set autoreboot = false
    11) wmic recoveros set DebugInfoType = 7
    12) bcdedit /enum {badmemory}

    13) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

    14) Make sure that there is no over clocking while troubleshooting.

    15) In the left lower corner search type: system or system control > open system control panel > on the left pane click advanced system settings

    a) > on the advanced tab under startup and recovery > click settings > post an image of the startup and recovery window into the thread

    b) > on the advanced tab under performance > click on settings > on the performance options window > click on the advanced tab > under virtual memory > click on change > post an image of the virtual memory window into the thread

    16) Open Ccleaner > click windows tab or custom clean > scroll down to system and advanced > post an image into the thread

    17) Please do not use driver booster

    18) Read these links on Windows driver verifier (do not use the tool until it is communicated in the thread):

I know that zbook recommended not to use driver verifier now, but I believe that without it it is not possible to find the real cause of blue screens, so please use it - Enable and Disable Driver Verifier in Windows 10

It's ok to use the tool once the OP has made a restore point, understands possible performance problems including slow boot, and how to turn off and recover from using the tool.

    Think I got everything.

    1) Uninstall Driver Booster and any files/drivers installed by this software (perform system restore)

    2) For startup and recovery system failure:
    a) make sure automatically restart is unchecked

    3) For Virtual Memory:
    a) For C: move the dot from no paging file to system managed size
    b) Check the box to automatically manage paging file size for all drives
    c) reboot to maintain settings

    4) Do not use any third party websites that can modify drivers or install unknown files
Only use the computer or motherboard manufacturer websites.
For any drivers that are needed and not displayed use the component manufacturer websites: Intel, Nvidia, AMD, Killer Networks, Realtek, etc.

    5) For Ccleaner uncheck:
    a) Memory Dumps
    b) Windows Log Files

    6) Please post new images after the above changes (before starting Windows driver verifier)

    7) For windows driver verifier start with the 3 simultaneous customized tests in the TF link

    8) If there are no BSOD then increase the number of simultaneous customized tests by 3 - 5 / hour up to the 19 displayed in the Microsoft link
