Maybe try to use Driver Verifier? (Enable and Disable Driver Verifier in Windows 10)
Maybe try to use Driver Verifier? (Enable and Disable Driver Verifier in Windows 10)
The Gigabyte website displayed two versions for the motherboard: Z77X-UD5H
Both versions displayed the most up to date non-beta BIOS: F14.
The most recent beta BIOS was F16J.
The computer BIOS: Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. F16K, 11/04/2018
How come a beta bios is in use?
Which link has the version F16K?
GA-Z77X-UD5H (rev. 1.1) | Motherboard - GIGABYTE U.S.A.
It can be easy to miss BSOD when automatically restart is checked.
The current settings are creating mini dumps and memory dumps may be more useful for troubleshooting.
During the troubleshooting please modify the startup and recovery system failure settings.
In startup and recovery:
a) uncheck automatically restart
b) change small memory dump to automatic memory dump
For any BSOD:
a) run the V2 log collector to collect new log files
b) open file explorer> this PC > C: > in the right upper corner search for: C:\Windows\memory.dmp
> if the file size is < 1.5 GB then zip > post a separate share link into the thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive
The F16K BIOS for Rev 1.0 of my motherboard is supplied by Gigabyte on request. It addresses the Spectre /Meltdown vulnerability and has been very stable to date. See Ridiculous Gigabyte BIOS Support vs. Spectre / Meltdown The F16K BIOS appears to be official being supplied by Gigabyte but it seems they still can't be bothered to update their product support page.
The PC crashed again. Playing the games is fine and I can Alt+Tab to Windows and back but the game crashes on exit to Windows. A small memory dump was produced despite the auto setting. What size memory dump should I force in the setting? I also paused Onedrive but that had no effect.
I'm thinking this is bug as reported in the previous cumulative update KB4517389 (see post 1). I'm currently on cumulative update KB4522355 but it's quite possible the bug has continued over. I could uninstall KB4522355 but then I'm missing important updates. I've sent a feedback report to MS too.

Update - I've had no problems since disabling cldflt.sys in Autoruns for the duration of the game. However, you can't permanently disable this since the OneDrive sync status is not displayed. Driver Verifier did not reveal anything to date.
I suspect this is a bug since there many recent reports of problems with BSOD due to cldflt.sys. Let's see if MS fix it soon.
Driver verifier has customized test settings.

In the Ten Forums link there are 3 simultaneous customized tests.
In the Microsoft link there are approximately 19 simultaneous tests.
Tests can be added and removed.
There can be performance problems and slow boot in some computer environments.
Perform testing for another 36 hours:
Increase the number of tests by 3 - 5 / hour.
If there are any performance problems uncheck the 3 tests displayed in the TF link and modify other tests as needed so that all non-Microsoft drivers are exposed to the different tests.
The problem concerns only games saving in the so-called cloud (i.e. in Steam Cloud etc.)?
You could try using the service control manager in an elevated command prompt to stop and start the service but I have no idea what the consequences might be. Do so at your own risk.
If you type sc in the command prompt window you will see a full description of the various commands.
sc stop cldflt
sc start cldflt
