W10 - Computer freezes completely, cuts all input/power to USB devices

    Windows version 1903

My computer freezes while gaming. It ONLY happens when I'm playing games.. Randomly, The screen will freeze, lights and input to USB devices (mouse and keyboard) cut completely, and theres nothing I can do except hard-reboot my computer by holding down the power button. I've been checking the event viewer for a while now, trying to figure this out without asking for help. I've even re-installed windows to try and rid this problem.

I have two SSD's in RAID not sure if that matters... But I have all my games on an external HD. My CPU is watercooled, and It never gets above 85 Fahrenheit, So I really don't think overheating is the issue.

This most recent time that it happened, which was about twenty minutes ago, I was playing a game and it crashed, and then my computer just had a solid beep, I don't think there were any short ones, or any variations of the beeping whatsoever. It was just a solid beep, nonstop until reboot.

Event viewer has a log seemingly at the time of the crash, Which says,

"A problem has occurred with one or more user-mode drivers and the hosting process has been terminated. This may temporarily interrupt your ability to access the devices."

And then on the same tick, also has

"The device HID-compliant headset (location (unknown)) is offline due to a user-mode driver crash. Windows will attempt to restart the device 5 more times. Please contact the device manufacturer for more information about this problem."

This makes me think the crashes are somehow related to my Razer Kraken USB-Gaming headset.. But I'm honestly clueless at this point. I've tried re-seating my graphics card, and that's it. I haven't tried to clear CMOS, or re-seat RAM.

Try one of these free temperature monitors. Check all temps, especially CPU and video card.
SpeedFan: Download SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer
HWMonitor: HWMONITOR | Softwares | CPUID
HWInfo: Free Download HWiNFO Sofware | Installer & Portable for Windows, DOS

Let us know the results (especially just before the freeze) and we'll move on from there

Antec 690LC device does not have drivers installed.
Please download and install the latest, W10 compatible drivers for this device

Please do the following. It'll provide a sortable view of all the errors in Event Viewer for us to look at after you zip it and upload it:
    Please do the following:
    - open Event Viewer (run eventvwr.msc from the "Run" dialog)
    - expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
    - right click on the "Administrative Events" heading
    - select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
    - save the file as Admin.evtx
    - zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
    - upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).

FYI - If we're looking for Event ID 41 errors (unexplained shutdowns), there's more info on that here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2028504
The Event ID 41 error is simply Windows saying that it doesn't know why it shutdown.

I installed speed fan, the only thing that strikes me as high under idle is one of the SSD's... It says it's running at 97c. Not sure how that can be right, the other one is only at 30c. I ran a gpu stress test for about ten minutes or so last night, and no shutdown/stuttering or anything of that nature occurred. I DO have my CPU overclocked, but I've tried without OC and this still happens.

I did end up getting the 690LC driver installed... It was for an NZXT watercooler, Which seems to be working good now.. Doubt that it fixed the crashing, but I guess its possible?

This issue is still happening. I went a good while without it crashing, but it's happening again.

The device HID-compliant headset (location (unknown)) is offline due to a user-mode driver crash. Windows will attempt to restart the device 5 more times. Please contact the device manufacturer for more information about this problem.
Can someone direct me to where I can get more help please?

Unfortunately it was a user mode crash and this requires contacting the manufacturer or switching hardware.

In the BSOD forum we can debugg Windows driver crashes.

For user mode it requires a different database.

Approximately 10 BIOS upgrades were missed.

    Please upgrade the BIOS: 1702 > 3801
    Z170-AR Driver & Tools | Motherboards | ASUS USA

Thank you for your response. Is there any way I can force windows to find out/tell me what hardware in my PC is causing this?

Open device manager > click view > click show hidden devices > manually expand all rows > look for any row displaying a yellow triangle with black exclamation mark or unknown device. Post images into the thread.

Consider opening a thread in https://www.tenforums.com/drivers-hardware/ as they may have different resources.

Once the BIOS is upgraded test the computer for changes in performance / stability.

    1) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    2) sfc /scannow
    3) dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth
    4) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    5) sfc /scannow
    6) chkdsk /scan
    7) wmic recoveros set autoreboot = false
    8) wmic recoveros set DebugInfoType = 7
    9) bcdedit /enum {badmemory}

    10) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

    11) Make sure that there is no over clocking while troubleshooting.

    12) Read these links on Windows driver verifier: (learn the reset and bootmode commands) ( do not use the tool until it is communicated in the thread)

Enable and Disable Driver Verifier in Windows 10
    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...3-c48669e4c983

    13) Update the specs in the "My Computer" section:

System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums
In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.
After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.
System Info - See Your System Specs - Windows 7 Help Forums

Include PSU. cooler, case, peripherals and anything attached to the computer by wired or wireless (mouse, keyboard, headset, printer, xbox, USB wireless network card, etc.)

    14) Make sure all peripherals are listed including Razer devices.
