Ok, some in-depth steps and tips to use- thanks, really appreciate it. Will take some time to go through them all, will update thread once upon resolution or new developments.

    - btw memtest came back clean when I ran it a week or so ago for the 32GB I had in the system, however I was still weary which is why I've removed the two newly added 8GB sticks.

There are two companies with software that has a similar name.

Memtest 86+ version 5.01 we use to test DDR3 RAM for 8 or more passes.
    The latest update was 09/27/2013
    DDR4 became available in 2014.

Memtest 86 version 8.2 we use to test DDR4 RAM for 8 passes but this requires 2 tests of 4 passes each to make 8 passes.
The free edition was changed in January 2019 to have only 4 passes.
The pay edition can perform 8 continuous passes.
A substantial portion of the testing can be performed overnight.

Update: Have not had any BSOD since removal of the new 16GB ram from my system. So even though it SEEMS the memory sticks were the issue, is this a sure-fire way to know it was the root issue? Because its possible the motherboard or another component on the motherboard was not playing nicely with those additional two sticks and they may be fine.

A way to find out would be to replace my current two sticks with the ones I took out, at the risk of course of causing another crash if it is the sticks that are corrupt.

How long did you run Memtest? It needs lots of passes.

Is the memory matched, that is speed, voltage requirements, timings?

@ Caledon Ken, ran Memtest over a period of 12 hours. And yes, memory sticks were matched: timing, voltage, speed, capacity and manufacturer.

Marking thread as Solved, seeing as I have not had one BSOD since removing the sticks. Not to say that can't rule out a defect with the memory seats in the MB, though! But moving on from this issue for now.

Wanted to thank the contributors for all the detailed help- really appreciated!
