    Computer instability with BSOD or unexpected shutdown and restart can occur with mismatched RAM and when using RAM modules that are not on the QVL.
    There is no test for mismatched RAM.
    The tests typically display pass.
    Then removing the mismatched RAM or RAM modules that were not on the QVL allows testing for computer stability /instability.
    If the computer is stable then the cause and effect is established.
    If the computer is unstable with RAM that is on the QVL then testing can be performed with one RAM module at a time.
    And one RAM module can be used to test each DIMM.
    If the problem is unclear after the above testing then a motherboard swap or replacement for further evaluation of any computer instability.

    Please post images as per step #8.

    Some of the commands in steps 9-18 cannot be completed using administrative powershell.
    The commands can all be completed using administrative command prompt as per the instructions.

    The main issue of trying different sticks in normal use as it could be weeks without a BSOD. Several attempts on my own I thought I fixed the issue only for it to BSOD again a month later. There is no way for me to force it to BSOD that I know of.

    Screenshots here:

    VRAM.png - Google Drive

    All of the commands were completed successfully except I skipped the 2 related to startup and recovery as I changed those while I was there.

    This command works using administrative command prompt but does not work with administrative powershell:
    bcdedit /enum {badmemory}

    If you have a backup image you can run windows driver verifier with 19 customized tests while only using RAM on the QVL that passed memtest 86+ version 5.01 testing.
    If there are BSOD with memory dump creation they can be debugged.
    Most often it is important to fix hardware problems first and then test software.

    The only issue with the command in powershell is {badmemory}. If you escape it with --% then it parses fine.
    bcdedit --% /enum {badmemory}
    bcdedit /enum --% {badmemory}
    Either way works fine for me.

    I've ran driver verifier for a day as-is with no issues. At least with the recommended settings from these forums. I'll upload the memory dump the next time it bluescreens.

    Windows driver verifier has customized test settings.

    The TF tutorial displays 3 customized tests.
    The Microsoft link displays approximately 19 customized tests.

    Enable and Disable Driver Verifier in Windows 10
    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...3-c48669e4c983

    If you do not have important files on the computer you can start with the 19 customized tests.
    If you have important files on the computer then make a backup image:

    Macrium Software | Your Image is Everything
    Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect

    There can be performance problems and slow boot with windows driver verifier.

    Make a new restore point.
    Start with the customized test settings in the TF link: 3
    Increase the number of customized tests by 3 - 5 /hour.

    For any BSOD:

    a) run the V2 log collector to collect new log files

    b) open file explorer> this PC > C: > in the right upper corner search for: C:\Windows\memory.dmp
    > if the file size is < 1.5 GB then zip > post a separate share link into the thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive

    I ran the sticks in pairs with no errors after 8 passes.

    The bios version "2.A" is actually the current one I have installed. It displays 2.10 after installing. You can verify this by checking the date.

    I was just waiting for the next BSOD which happened today. Here is the V2 and memory dump.

    I uninstalled and reinstalled it after the previous BSOD. I went ahead and did it again. It hasn't updated since the previous install.

    Keep track of the driver version:

    If there are BSOD caused by the same driver version then older versions can be tried.
    If there are problems with multiple drivers then swap, replace, or use alternative hardware.

    There were 3 V2 posted into the thread.
    The driver versions were:

    Code:
    Driver	C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\RT640X64.SYS (10.36.701.2019, 1.11 MB (1,158,944 bytes), 6/4/2019 7:44 PM)

    Driver	C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\RT640X64.SYS (10.36.701.2019, 1.11 MB (1,167,560 bytes), 9/27/2019 7:16 PM)

    Driver	C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\RT640X64.SYS (10.36.701.2019, 1.11 MB (1,167,560 bytes), 9/27/2019 7:16 PM)

    Turn off Windows updates of non-Micrsoft drivers:

    Enable or Disable Driver Updates in Windows Update in Windows 10

    Install the driver displayed on the MSI website.

    If there are BSOD caused by this driver then find an older driver on the Realtek webiste.
