Computer instability with BSOD or unexpected shutdown and restart can occur with mismatched RAM and when using RAM modules that are not on the QVL.
There is no test for mismatched RAM.
The tests typically display pass.
Then removing the mismatched RAM or RAM modules that were not on the QVL allows testing for computer stability /instability.
If the computer is stable then the cause and effect is established.
If the computer is unstable with RAM that is on the QVL then testing can be performed with one RAM module at a time.
And one RAM module can be used to test each DIMM.
If the problem is unclear after the above testing then a motherboard swap or replacement for further evaluation of any computer instability.
