    System Boots into unusable state

    Hi!

My system is booting into “black screen with cursor” state, unable to get any tools to load / (no taskbar, no right click/ no ctrl-alt-delete

Starting in Safe mode gives me the same

    Startup Repair Fails

    Reset This PC fails

No recovery drive avail (accidentally formatted it trying to fix my issue) and I do not have access to another machine to create install usb

I found a thread walking through using DISKPART to generate disk info - Screenshots of that output and also the SRT log are provided at this link
Shared album - Jeff Howe - Google Photos

Please let me know what additionall info is needed

    Thanks!!

    Welcome to TenForums.

Your screenshots show you have GPT partitions. Go into the BIOS at start up and check that it is set for UEFI boot. If it has accidentally been switched to Legacy boot then you would get that black screen.

Attaching screen grabs of BIOS ... looks like UEFI is enabled.

First thing I would do is download this boot disk and copy your data off the drive.

Windows can only be describe as finicky and your data is just too important to loose.

    Downloads - Win14393PESE-X64 - ToolsLib

With your data off you will be in a position to do a clean install.

    Clean Install Windows 10

should it come down to it.

The obstacle, however, is that I only have the one (Unusable except for cmd)! Can you walk me through how I can clean install l?

Sorry you have only one what, hope it is not PC.

Do you have boot media from a relatively current version of Windows 10, say 1803/1809/1903

There maybe a method but I'm unaware.

I know I'm pushing this but can you get a hold of a buddy and make boot media there?

Do you have a library with PC's that are usable?

Can I ask, were you dual booting?

What kind of device is this?
