    bsod whea_uncorrectable_error windows 10


    Hello everyone.



    My pc msi aegis 4 years old gets bsod screen every time its under low load. for example i can game for hours with no issues at all, but as soon as i stop the game in matter of seconds or minutes i get

    Bsod screen with the stop code whea_uncorrectable_error. just surfing the internet for few minutes also start the issue. stress testing the pc stops the bsod code from crashing my pc also.





    NOTES

    i dont face any strudering or lag in games at all. this is really confusing me!!!



    while typing this post and doing all the required steps i have prim 95 running in the background so i dont get bsod crashes, it works find now even though my cpu temps are at 87c and gpu at 33c. prim 95 been runing for about 2 hours with no issues at all.





    booting into safe mode with network fixes the issue completely and allows me to use discord and surf the internet with no issues.



    ruining prime 95 in the background with all of the above option in the program also fixes the issue.


    i ran memtest86 for about 2 and a half hours according to the program, but i left the computer running for about 5 hours. when i came back the pc was stable inside the memtest environment for all that time no crashes, and did not find any errors from memtest.


    my cpu fan is not connected to the motherboard as i have it connected to an external power adapter that allowed me to control the speed of the fan, my pc never over heats and all temps are normal for cpu and gpu, but when i boot into windows it gives me the (cpu fan error) duo to the fan not being connected to the motherboard.



    i was told by msi and windows tech support that this issue might be drivers conflict or windows issue, i have not tried installing an older v. of windows 10 yet.









    what i have tried so far



    1 going into system config and disabling load startup items for the general tap, and disabling everything from services tap accept Microsoft services did not help at. only helped for one boot and it just delayed the crash.



    2 tried removing gpu and clean installing windows 10 and all drivers. didnt help the issue. not sure if i might be getting the wrong drivers as i am using drivers booster program to get my drivers updated and also nvidia website to get gpu updates, nothing from msi main drivers page.



    3 tried replacing gpu with a different one, no luck.



    4 removing all usb connections.

    5 i tried using a different ssd with a different gpu and taking out the hard drive. still facing the same issue.

    6 without stressing the cpu or the gpu with a game or a stress program, my pc will crash even if i dont touch or do anything to it.

    No memory dumps in the uploaded reports.
    Error Reports folder shows a lot of STOP 0x124 errors - along with a 4 STOP 0x144 (BUGCODE_USB3_DRIVER) MSINFO32 shows the Live Kernel Events for the 144 errors to have occurred on 1,2, and 3 September.
    IMO this is most likely a hardware problem - but we'll check the software also (just in case).
    You've done a great job of troubleshooting, let's see what we're able to find......

    As such, I'd start by:
    - downloading a fresh copy of the latest, W10 compatible USB 3 drivers from the MSI support website for your system.
    - uninstall the current USB 3 drivers from the system
    - install the freshly downloaded drivers and test
    FYI - current USB3 driver seems to be a Microsoft driver (and, as such, it makes the thought of a hardware issue more likely).

    If the BSOD's recur, try
    - checking the USB ports for dirt/dust/damage
    - disabling USB 3 in the BIOS

    Let us know the results of these steps and we'll move on from there if necessary.

    Drivers for these devices still load at startup, and are disabled later on in the startup process. As such, they are still present in memory and can have an impact on other drivers. My suggestion is to either uninstall them, or to update them to the latest available, W10 compatible version.

    Copy C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP to another location. Zip it and upload to a file sharing site like OneDrive then post a link to it here so it can be looked at. May not help but worth a try.

    I have new update that fixed my issue but still dont know what is causing it.

    i noticed that during gaming such as playing PUBG my cpu usage is high which = no issues no crashes at all but when the match is over, and my player return to the lobby or the waiting area screen, my cpu usage not as high and i sometimes get BSODs, or my screen freezes. so what i did it i changed my power plan option from balanced to high performance, it tottally fixed my issue. No BSOD when my pc in high performance option but as soon as i change it back to power saving mode or balanced, i get BSOD just after 4 minutes of watching a youtube video.

    what i also tried doing is keeping my pc at balanced option, but going into

    Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options\Edit Plan Settings and clicking on change advanced power settings, and then under advanced settings i went down to processor power management and changed the minimum processor state option from 5% to 20%, restarted my pc and tried it again to see if it'll crash, it did after 4 minutes, then tried it again at 60% and my pc is running stable with the balanced option. is it ok to keep my pc at high performance ?

    i usually know how to fix issues with my pc but this is really confusing me and i really really appreciate your time!

    It may help identify the failing program/hardware sine no minidump was generated so it could be worth uploading. No guarantee it will help but worth trying.

    Note: Because of it's size you need to upload it to a file sharing site like OneDrive as I mentioned, then post a link to it here. With Windows 10 you have at least 5GB of free storage there.

    here is the link to the MEMORY.DMP file. i got an bsod crash while uploading the file so i deleted the one i uploaded and uploaded the new one with hopefully bsod report.

    Quite frankly, if the system isn't giving you problems - why fix it?
    If the BSOD's do come back, the suggestions that we made are probably the first things to try.
    But, OTOH, it won't hurt to do them now (as you have time). Basically, it's your call.......

    W10 is shorthand for Windows 10.

    Just wanted to report back and say thank you all for all your time and help.

    so just to confirm that as long as i have my pc in high performance mode im not facing any issues. so for who ever is having the same issue just try switching your pc from balanced mode to high performance.
