    Update

Check to see if it is possible to plug the display into the motherboard.
If you can use the iGPU another option is to remove the Nvidia dGPU and evaluate computer stability / instability.

A local computer store may have options for swapping or testing the Nvidia dGPU.
The new BIOS file was not approved by Winflash as valid for the computer. So alas I could not update the BIOS.
Im trying now to run with HD G unplugged to see if there is any difference.

When I start the computer in safe mod I get an error message at the log in screen saying: "Unknown hardware error". and "CTFMON failed". After clicking it away a few times I can log in.

There is a VGA outlet on the motherboard. I plugged it to my monitor and disabled the GPU in Device Manager. Now it say its running on basic Microsoft adapter. So far no errors.

Looks we are on to something. I played Age of Empires on Steam now for one hour with no errors or BDOD.
Maybe its the graphic card after all.

I spoke too early it seems. Now the BSOD are coming as soon as I start windows. And the motherboard doesn't send any signal through the VGA cable. I have no idea how to enable it alas.

    Hi SvN52,

On indirect request of Zbook I have looked into your thread to see where to continue.
Currently the main focus was the GPU, because the Nvidia display driver showed up in the logs.
My opinion on this issue, I wouldn't have gone that path. At the moment to me it looks like your motherboard is causing issues.

As you haven't updated the BIOS yet, I am wondering if you're comfortable updating the BIOS within the BIOS, i.e. tell the BIOS to use a file to update itself?

Updating the Bios is not something I do every day but sure if I get good guidance I can do it. As you probably saw trying with WinFlash didn't work. It said the file was not right.

    File invisible

That was pretty much straight forward. Only when I navigate to the USB the file doesn't show up. I tried moving the file to the root of the stick but same result. My extracted BIOS file is named: H110-I-ASUS-G11CD-1002 and it is a cap file. What am I doing wrong I wonder? BTW it is the same file that WinFlash wouldn't approve.

Found something. Going to try another file.

The update went fine with the right file But it is the same version I already have. So no real update. Im getting the file from this adress: G11CD Driver & Tools | Tower PCs | ASUS Global

    BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. 0807, 2018-03-16
    SMBIOS Version 3.0
    File is named: G11CD-K-ASUS-0807

Yes. My computer is G11CD-K And the K stands for Kabylake. The other one is G11CD-KO for Kabylake Oculus. So I picked the one with only K

Good to know which one you selected.
