    BIOS/MBR partition in the Microsoft article. I don't have Windows 10 Pro so BitLocker is out of the question for me.

    That's simply pairing BIOS with MBR and legacy vs modern UEFI and EFI based installations. Yours is the former type. The mention of BIOS has nothing to do with your partition question.
