    Intermittent "Service abend" BSOD

Recovery from this BSOD requires POWER OFF/ON. It records logging information of which are in closed.

I have 2 systems, a Desktop & this Laptop. Their features are defined in my current system specifications on this forum. This problem only happens on the Laptop. The laptop is a partial mirror of the the Desktop and used only as a backup to the it.

This has been happening since installing Window 1903 (and under all CU's since its inception). The BSOD happens while running Aomei Backupper (in batch mode). The BSOD occurred under Aomei 4.6 1 and again after upgrading to Aomei 5.0. To me its not application related. The step is performing an incremental backup (But I have seen it happen once during a full backup). Some times after reboot, I can run the batch file again and it may or may not fail. On subsequent runs running Aomei interactively, never do fail. Don't really know if that info is worth anything ?

Please note that I had tried to run the V2 collector, but it fails on this machine. I included a screen shot with the open PS2 window informational messages.

DM collector worked OK and the files are attached.

Hope you guys can help me here. If you need more info, don't hesitate to post.

    Thanks Roger the Storageman

The strange thing is that the Timestamp driver from AOMEI shows for 2012 while AOMEI Backupper 5.0 has newer drivers dated for 2016. You do not have any other software from AOMEI? Reinstall the AOMEI Backupper program and remove all program residues (including its drivers) on uninstallation and then reinstall

For V2 please click extract all to run the software application.

If there are any problems please use a camera or smartphone camera to take pictures and post images into the thread.

Yes AOMEI Partition Assistant is also installed. Can you explain what the Timestamp driver does ? Is it the module that is causing the BSOD ?

That's exactly what I did do.

This is what I get when extracting the ZIP folder that was downloaded.

    Attachment 242118

From there I executed the Log-collector shortcut by right clicking on it and run as administrator and I get the same output

Yes, I am talking about this driver exactly. Is the AOMEI Partition Assistant program installed in the latest version?

    1. Don't run the shortcut file as an administrator, simply double-click "log-collector.lnk", as described in step 4 of the posting instructions guide.
    2. Verify that the "resources" directory contains the following files: "logger-module.psm1", "main.ps1", and "elevated.ps1"

Yes it was downlevel (8.2 vs 8.3). I'll install and see if it fixes the problem. Will post back again.

All three of those modules are there. I'll try it without an elevated run.

    Thanks

@Spectrum - Yes running the script without admin rights works like a charm. If anybody wants to look at it, I'll upload it.

@MrPepka - I have upgraded the Aomei Partition assistant software. I have re-run the test (twice) and it completed with NO BSOD. But again this problem is pretty random. Hopefully the upgraded software will fix this issue, but since it doesn't happen every run, I'll take a wait and see. With that I'll leave this thread open for the next 30 days. If the problem doesn't resurface, I'll mark it as corrected, if not I will post another set of the logs.

    Thanks for your help.
