BSOD ntoskrnl.exe after upgrading hardware

BSOD errors are a combination of 0x109, 0x117, 0x141, 0xC4
Memory dumps show 0x109 and 0xC4 errors
117 and 141 are generally video errors, C4 is a Driver Verifier error

One of the Driver Verifier memory dumps blames CorsairVBusDriver
Please uninstall the Corsair software and see if that helps

In the event that these suggestions don't help, try these free hardware diagnostics while waiting for a reply:
1) Memtest86 (not 86+): MemTest86 - Official Site of the x86 Memory Testing Tool

2) SeaGate SeaTools for Windows (test ALL hard drives - HDD/SSD/USB/etc): How to use SeaTools for Windows | Seagate Support US

I've already run Memtest86 once. I did 4 passes of it, the log file should in the original post. I am going to run a few extra passes tonight (Going to bed now, thinking about 8 passes)

As for the Corsair with the Verifier. I tried enabling it (It's possible I've done it wrong) first it BSOD'ed over Logitech so I removed it, yet got another crash later. Tried to use verifier again, this time it blamed Corsair instead of Logitech, so I trust the result of it very little. I have uninstalled Corsair for good measure though.

You mention 117 and 141 is usually video errors, I do find that interesting due to the fact that when I try install Nvidia drivers from their website, it tells me it's incompatible with my version of windows. I have windows 10 pro, and that is also what I upped for on their website. All around very strange. The solution I found was downloading it through GeForce Experience, rather than their website. Is it plausible the video driver is the sinner?

It may be. I suggest:
- uninstalling the nVidia drivers
- using DDU (free) to ensure that all remnants are removed: Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 18.0.1.5
(follow the directions on their page)
- then use GeForce Experience to download/install the latest version.

So did another 4 runs of Memtest86 (Didn't know it was the cap for the free version) no errors again.

Since that didn't work, and scf /scannow found corruption it couldn't fix, I went ahead and formatted all my drives and re-installed Windows. Just downloaded drivers. Seems like the reason Nvidias wasn't working last time, was due to I needed DCH drivers. Now time will tell if I get BSOD again.

Update: So due to the corrupted files according to sfc/ scannow, and the 8 memtest 86, I decided to re-install windows. Ran butter smooth no problems for about 5 days, and I thougt the issue fixed. Today I got the first crash since then, and I think I've found a pattern. For some reason it seems to be happen if I put my pc to sleep and then boot it later? I got the ntoskrnl.exe BSOD as before.

Any progress on the video stuff? I'm still suspecting that, but want to see what happens if you try another video card.

Did the MemTest give you errors? If so, did you remove the problem memory sticks?

Unfortunately I don't have another GPU to test with.

No error results on the memtest. Done x2 4 passes so far. The BSOD gave the 0x109 error again.

Found this article Nvidia GPU Fix for AMD Ryzen 3000 BSOD Is En Route and wondering if it can be related? Error seems different though as they claim it's a WHEA.

While it's possible that it might be similar, the reports are of STOP 0x124 (WHEA errors), and there's no mention of any others.

You can wait to see if they come up with a fix - and then try it to see if it helps you (don't know how long that's going to take)

or

You can purchase a video card from a shop that will let you return it for your money back (If it's not needed)..

Which components are new and under warranty?

The logs displayed many WHEA corrected hardware errors: (three different components)

Consider submitting a Nvidia support ticket.


Windows driver verifier has customized settings.
When the tool is used it often causes decreased performance and slow boot.
Modifying the customized tests, for example running 1 instead of 19 simultaneous tests can significantly alter performance.
