Update From 1809 To 1903 - BSOD(Blue Screen Of Death)?

    Hi,

    Running Windows 10 Pro 64Bit version 1809.
I tried to update today to new 1903 version, but it BSOD(Blue Screen Of Death) during the install?
I tried both Windows Update and the standalone Windows Update Tool with same result.
    Any ideas?
(I've tried multiple times with same BSOD result)

    Desktop:
    - Windows 10 Pro 64Bit version 1809
    - Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P (rev. 2.x) Motherboard with newest BIOS
    - AMD FX 3.5GHz 8-Core CPU
    - 32GB DDR3 RAM Memory
    - nVidia GeForce GTX 970 Twin Turbo 4GB GDDR5 GPU with v430.86 drivers
    - 2 x Western Digital 1TB Hard Disk Drives(1 for OS/Apps and 1 for user data)
    - 850watt Power Supply
    - Avast Free Antivirus
    - Comodo Free Firewall

    Thanks!

    Jesse

Uninstall Avast and Comodo and try it again. If still no good, try this:

    Press Windows key + X
    Click Command Prompt (Admin)
    Type the following command:

    rundll32.exe pnpclean.dll,RunDLL_PnpClean /DRIVERS /MAXCLEAN

    Hit Enter on your keyboard
    Exit command prompt
    Restart

If you have virtualization in the BIOS enabled, disable it then attempt the upgrade again.

    Hi,

Uninstalling Antivirus and firewall and running "rundll32.exe pnpclean.dll,RunDLL_PnpClean /DRIVERS /MAXCLEAN" in command prompt actually worked.
Running Windows 10 Pro 64Bit version 1903 now...
    Thanks!
