    Driver_Power_State_Failure 0x0000009F BSOD (while I was away)

Hello, Ten Forums! I would love your help in narrowing down what driver did me in this morning.

I left the PC on last night and woke up to a "Driver Power State Failure" BSOD on my second machine (in system specs).
    Code:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000009f (0x0000000000000003, 0xffff80098b9f3060, 0xffffea80f7877c20, 0xffff8009938ce780). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 4f1b9156-c4b6-4a70-8c39-fbca44daf209.
V2 Collector logs here: Attachment 233482 Unusual circumstances which may or may not be relevant:

    • my first BSOD in almost two years and the first on this system
    • the CPU & PSU fans were at full speed at the blue screen
    • the system never restarted on its own after the blue screen: I left for ~4 hours and it was still stuck at the screen
    • I religiously remove my USB microphone each night, but forgot the night before the BSOD
    • No overclocking; multi-core enhancement disabled. RAM is set to XMP settings.
    • I recently started Macrium Reflect images to a NAS daily at 5am (~5 days ago)
    • New software: the only new software in the past three months were Microsoft Edge Chromium and Xpotify (Microsoft Store Spotify app)
    • New hardware: none
    • New drivers: I did update the Intel iGPU drivers and NVIDIA GPU drivers about 1.5 weeks ago after some multi-monitor glitches (one monitor driven by iGPU, one monitor driven by the GT 710).

I'm most curious which driver failed here. There are a lot of culprits, I imagine, and being able to find the driver would be most helpful.

Hiya, ZBook. Thank you very much for the very detailed reply.
    1. No dump: That's crazy. We're just supposed to run the shortcut, right? Well, somehow even the *.DMP file is missing now that I look.
    2. Duplicate Cleaner Pro: That's been updated to 4.1.1 now. Here are the Options; I haven't run it for some time. Perhaps it's worth uninstalling, if you've seen anything indicating it caused the BSOD?

Small note: I'm moving some files between a broken phone at the moment, so the free space is a bit limited (but at the time of the BSOD, it was relatively free, over 60GB free).

    15. Overclocking: Yes, all "overclocking" disabled, though XMP for the RAM is still on.

    16. BSOD: Where is the beta log collector?

    17. Specs: updated.

    18. Windows update: I'm hoping to maintain 1803 for now, but if I have no other choice, I'll bite the bullet.

    19.BIOS update: updated to 4.00

    1) Increase the free space on the Windows drive so that the free space is > 30 GB.

Windows may automatically delete memory dump files when the drive free space is < 25 GB
An approximate memory dump file may range: 400 MB - 3500 GB or more.
For performance maintain free space 15 - 20%.

    2) For startup and recovery system failure: (if not already modified)
    a) uncheck automatically restart
    b) reboot to maintain settings

    3) For share links please use one drive, drop box, or google drive

    4) Sometimes there are problems in the bios that produce bsod.

    5) To ensure that there are no improper bios settings please reset the bios.

You may have forgotten to link this "BETA log collector". I only see V2 & DM on this forum's sticky... I used V2 in the OP. Likewise, perplexing why V2 did not include the dump: there was 50+ GB of free space when it ran (the free space issue was after I ran the V2 collector). As of today, back to 102+ GB free! :)

    Unchecked automatically restart.

    BIOS settings reset.

Also updated the NVIDIA GPU drivers. Now on 430.64.

The wireless card was disabled for troubleshooting--enabled that back, too!

No new BSOD since that day. If the BSOD occurs again, I'll post back. Thank you for all the troubleshooting tips. Do let me know where to find the "BETA log collector".

The name for the log collector was recently changed from BETA to V2.

    Hello ikjadoon,

If you have not already done this: try leaving the microphone plugged in overnight and see if it causes the BSOD again. Simply putting the system into a sleep state may be enough to trigger it on a wake up.
