BSOD won't let me get past startup repair menu

Yes, it's almost 100% certain the RAM was causing all your original BSODs. Due to the file corruption that might have occurred you may find some further work is needed to repair files before the system will boot after installing new RAM. We will be ready to help.

Update: I just got my new ram today. Corsair Vengeance 16 GB. 2 x 8 DDR3 ram. I installed them onto my motherboard and tried starting up my pc. The problem is that my pc will start for 5 or 10 seconds then shuts off for 5 seconds and then starts up again and shuts off again. Stuck in a loop here.

Try one 8GB DIMM. If still fail, swap with the other. Sound like you may have gotten a new/defective memory DIMM.

Made sure all cables were connected. The only cable disconnected was the RESET SW cable. And then I tried each stick on the 1st dimm slot they both let the pc start up without that loop occurring.

My computer only starts up with one ram stick but not both

Manul has the following for Memory instalation:

1-4 Installing the Memory
Read the following guidelines before you begin to install the memory:
•• Make sure that the motherboard supports the memory. It is recommended that memory of the
same capacity, brand, speed, and chips be used.
(Go to GIGABYTE's website for the latest supported memory speeds and memory modules.)
•• Always turn off the computer and unplug the power cord from the power outlet before installing the
memory to prevent hardware damage.
•• Memory modules have a foolproof design. A memory module can be installed in only one direction.
If you are unable to insert the memory, switch the direction

Dual Channel Memory Configuration
This motherboard provides four DDR3 memory sockets and supports Dual Channel Technology. After the
memory is installed, the BIOS will automatically detect the specifications and capacity of the memory. Enabling
Dual Channel memory mode will double the original memory bandwidth.

The four DDR3 memory sockets are divided into two channels and each channel has two memory sockets as
following:

Channel A: DDR3_2, DDR3_4
Channel B: DDR3_1, DDR3_3

Due to CPU limitations, read the following guidelines before installing the memory in Dual Channel mode.
1. Dual Channel mode cannot be enabled if only one DDR3 memory module is installed.
2. When enabling Dual Channel mode with two or four memory modules, it is recommended that memory
of the same capacity, brand, speed, and chips be used and installed in the same colored DDR3
sockets. For optimum performance, when enabling Dual Channel mode with two memory modules,
we recommend that you install them in the DDR3_1 and DDR3_2 sockets

Am almost certain that this ram is compatible with my PC. The part number is CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10. And I installed it onto the correct slots

What speed are you running the memory at? Looks like 1866 is recommended if I'm reading the chart right.

Running it at 1600. I can play with the settings in BIOS and see what that does.

Decided I’ll just keep my PC going with 8 gigs of ram since that’s all it’ll run with. Still stuck on a startup repair thing. Still can’t get to the desktop.
