    Unexpected Store Exception Experience Randomly

    Hello All,

I have been getting an Unexpected Store Exception BSOD randomly for about the last two weeks. At first it seemed to only occur while I was playing a heavily modded version of minecraft, but it has happened now when booting my laptop out of sleep or even just doing normal computer stuff (checking e-mails, browsing social media). I have run the sfc and dism checks and both of those came back clean. I have downloaded a few HDD health checkers (Crystal and HDTunePRO) and although they can't access my SSD (where the windows install is) for some reason, they say my normal HDD is fine. I already tried to do a system restore to a point earlier this month but after doing so I got an BSOD on boot-up, I think with the checksum of 0x000000C2 (it disappered very quickly). I then managed to get the automatic repair screen (where windows said it was unable to repair my machine) so I undid that restore. I have ran the beta log collector and attached the result to this post. Many thanks in advance for any help that can be provided

dxgmms is involved with DirectX which means video. The driver for your Intel(R) HD Graphics 630 is dated
10/26/2017 which is pretty old. There is a 3/20/2019 driver available from Intel. Use DDU to uninstall the current driver then install the latest from Intel. Download it first then use DDU to do the uninstall.

    Attachment 228774

Remove and install latest video drivers:

Get the latest driver for your video card here: Downloads for Intel® HD Graphics 630
Completely uninstall the current video display drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) from WagnardMobile here: Official Download Here. Do this in Safe Mode.

Then do a custom install of only the new video driver.

See if that gets rid of the problem.

Thanks for your help so far Ztruker! I encountered a Registry Error BSOD this evening before starting the uninstall and reintall Intel process. I did download both the intel driver exe and the ddu exe and then went into safe mode with networking and ran DDU to remove the intel driver. I think, however, that my machine may have BSOD during the process because when I returned to it after walking away after starting the removal it was already rebooted (maybe a minute later). I then proceeded to install the intel driver in a normal start-up and then restarted my machine. I however just encountered a BSOD error but I do not know which error it was because I was away from my machine when it happened and all I returned to was my monitor at the windows log-in screen. If my machine did BSOD during the DDU process in safe mode, should I try again and assume it was a fluke or is that indicative of a deeper problem? I have attached another run of the beta log collector. Thanks!

Latest zip has no new dump file. Looking at the Event viewer logs again, there are a lot of these:
    Code:
    3/29/2019 2:51 AM
    Application Error
Faulting application name: BlueStacksHelper.exe, version: 1.37.0.0, time stamp: 0x5c63e591

    Faulting process id: 0x46c8
    Faulting application start time: 0x01d4e5da48a2fa44
    Faulting application path: C:\ProgramData\BlueStacks\Client\Helper\BlueStacksHelper.exe
    Faulting module path: unknown
    Report Id: 378fa496-1f90-455e-8e47-c0de6523d8cb
    Faulting package full name:
    Faulting package-relative application ID:
I suggest uninstalling BlueStacks: How can I uninstall BlueStacks completely? Don't reinstall immediately, test for awhile first.

See if that resolves the BSOD problems you are having.

If the problem is gone then you can try installing the latest version available is needed.

I downloaded the utility, used it, and restarted my PC. I then started up minecraft and BSOD'd (store exception) 2 minutes in. After the restart I noticed the the bluestacks folder was still present so I used the utility again, restarted and confirmed that the folder has been removed. I then was going some stuff with a google sheet and got a memory management BSOD. It seems like the BSOD may be happening when I am running RAM intensive operations (google sheets in Chome is very memory hungry and I have allocated 6gb of my RAM for minecraft). Could the issue be that something is wrong with my RAM? Thanks for your help so far.

Again, no new dumps in the zip file.

Time to test your ram I think.

    ===================================================
Up through DDR3, follow this tutorial: MemTest86+ - Test RAM - Windows 10 Forums
DDR4, follow this tutorial: MemTest86 v8.1 Free Memory Testing Tool Review

Both of these are diagnostic tools designed to test Random Access Memory (RAM) for faults. They will verify that:
    • RAM will accept and keep random patterns of data sent to it
    • There are no errors when different parts of memory try to interact
    • There are no conflicts between memory addresses

They run from bootable media to isolate the RAM from the system, no other components are taken into account during the test.

    warning   Warning
MemTest86+ and Memtest86 need to run for at least 8 passes to be anywhere near conclusive, anything less will not give a complete analysis of the RAM. The new version of Memtest86 only allows 4 passes for the free version so run it twice, back to back.

If you are asked to run MemTest86+ or Memtest86 by a Ten Forums member make sure you run the full 8 (or 4+4) passes for conclusive results. If you run less than 8 passes you will be asked to run it again.

    Note   Note
Both of these diagnostics has been known to discover errors in RAM in later passes than the eighth pass. This is for information only; if you feel there is a definite problem with the RAM and 8 passes have shown no errors feel free to continue for longer.

Running 8 passes of MemTest86+ or 4+4 passes of Memtest86 is a long and drawn out exercise and the more RAM you have the longer it will take. It's recommended to run it overnight, starting just before you go to bed and leave it overnight.

Take a picture when done and post in the forum please.

I will continue to look at the other logs to see if anything else is showing there.

There is a problem with your system creating dumps:

    Attachment 229216

This show 35 times in the system event log which is why we are not getting any dumps.
Please make sure your PC is configured for small dump files:

How to Configure Windows 10 to Create Dump Files on BSOD

Besides testing your ram you need to test your PassMark NVMe LENSN20256GMSP34 drive. I don't know how to do that and searching Google is not giving me any good results. Let me check with the other BSOD guys here and see what they recommend.

Hi Ztruker. Thanks for this. In regards to the ram test, is it a requirement that the two sets of four passes back to back or would one set one night and one set the next night be sufficient? I have checked my advanced system settings, and my computer is configured for mini-dumps.Attachment 229336 Thanks for all your help!

One continuous run of 8 (or more) passes is ideal but that is no longer possible. For some reason they changed the free version to a max of 4 passes, so back to back is the next best method. Otherwise, do what you can.

I forgot to take a picture of the "details" screen for the first pass of four, but have the summary page:
    Attachment 229459
I took a picture of both for test 2.
    Attachment 229461Attachment 229460
From what I can tell, both came back clean, should I run another pass tonight to be sure?
