BETA Log Collector is not working

    BETA Log Collector is not working


    I downloaded the files, extracted them and and tried to open the file log-collector.ink as explained in this post:
    BSOD - Posting Instructions
    but about 2 seconds after I opened the file it closes itself and I cant interact with it at all.
    how do i troubleshoot it?

    Laurin, try right clicking on it and selecting Run as Administrator. See if that makes a difference.

    Where did you download the log collector v2-beta17.zip file to?

    Running it as Administrator didnt help.

    I downloaded the zip to the nomal Downloads folder. the path should be just
    C:\Users\username\Downloads\

    1) List any antivirus software installed on the computer (always on and manual)
    2) Open Windows defender settings > virus and treat protection > virus and treat protection settings > manage settings > controlled folder access > manage controlled folder access > post an image into the thread
    3) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    4) sfc /scannow
    5) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    6) chkdsk /scan
    7) wmic recoveros set autoreboot = false
    8) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

    1) I havent installed any antivirus softwares anymore. Only Windows Defender.
    2) Attachment 229036
    3) to 8) done, but there is the problem that even though I set my Windows Display Language to English it still shows German text in the command prompt. I still gonna paste it in here in case zou can work with it.

    1) Find a flash drive that you can format ( > or = 8 GB )

    2) Create a bootable Windows 10 iso
    Download Windows 10 ISO File | Tutorials
    Download Windows 10

    3) Perform an in place upgrade repair
    Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade | Tutorials

    4) Modify the default language to English
    Add, Remove, and Change Display Language in Windows 10 | Tutorials

    5) Perform steps 3 to 8 in post #5

    6) If there are BSOD after the above steps then
    a) run both the BETA and DM log collectors and post zips into the thread

    b) open file explorer > this PC > C: > in the right upper corner search for C:\windows\memory.dmp >if the file size is < 1.5 GB then zip and post a separate share link into the thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive

    7) Update the specs in the "My Computer" section:

    System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums | Tutorials
    In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.
    After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.

    Include PSU. cooler, case, peripherals and anything attached to the computer by wired or wireless (mouse, keyboard, headset, printer, xbox, USB wireless network card, etc.)



    For the in place upgrade repair repair:
    a) Power on the computer
    b) Open file explorer
    c) insert the windows 10 iso flash drive into any USB port
    d) identify the iso within file explorer
    e) click on the iso and launch setup or setup.exe
    f) follow the text and images in this link:
